Arthur E. Sage, 88, of Bloomsdale (formerly of St Louis) passed away Nov 3, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, MO. He had worked for the United Postal Service, he was a U.S. Army veteran and he liked playing cards, fishing and coo king. Born Jan 7, 1919 ,in St Louis MO, to the late Arthur and Anna (Cointon) Sage. He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Florence (McCallister) Sage.He is survived by three sons; Arthur (Carol) Sage, Michael (Jeanette) Sage and Sean (Karen) Sage; two daughers; Maureen (Donald) Backe and Eileen (David) Hohe; one brother, Donald (Alvera) Sage; one sister, Viola Vogler.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Johnson; brother, Ralph Sage; and two sisters, Dorothy Rutchman and Ethel Babcock.

Edwin H. Fay, age 83 of Hillsboro Missouri, formerly of Walworth WI, passed away on November 4, 2007, in Crystal City Missouri. He was born July 11, 1924, in Chicago IL. Edwin was a retired painting and drywall contractor, WWII Army veteran, attendant of Christian Outreach Church, Hillsboro Missouri, and long time member of Walworth Full. Gospel Church in Walworth WI. Edwin and his wife Janet were married May 15, 1948, in Walworth WI. He is survived by, Wife-Janet Fay (nee Feltham) of Hillsboro Missouri. Son-John (Judy) Fay of Peoria Il. Daughter-Shirley (Carl) Keener of Hillsboro Missouri. Daughter-Donna (Daryl) Roth of Hillsboro Missouri. Sister-Betty (George) Bever of Delavan WI. Sister-Ione Tindle of Elkhorn WI. He is also survived by, eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by, Father-Charles Fay, Mother-Elizabeth Fay (nee Whitsell), Brother-Charles Fay II, Brother-John Fay. David Michael Johnson, Sr, 54, of Herculaneum passed away Nov 8, 2007 at his Herculaneum residence. He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guards after 22 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW Post 3777 and Amvets Post 42. Born June 10, 1953, in Granite City, IL, to the late Wade  and Mary (Hakenholz) Johnson. He is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Perry and Edith Gentry. He is survived by two sons; David Michael (Tricia) Johnson II and Jeremia h Joseph "J.J." (Jenni Eberhardt) Johnson; two sisters: Billie Jenkins and Julie Gentry; one brother, the late Wade Johnson; and two grandchildren: Zachary and Sydney Johnson. Visitation was Mon, Nov 13, 2007 at Mahn Twin City Chapel. Service was Tues, Nov 14, 2007 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with burial following service.

Charles "Chuck" Leonard Rhives, 68, of Union, MO (formerly of DeSoto) passed away Mon, Nov 13, 2007 at his Union residence. He was a truck driver, member of the Mississippi River Eagles and Masonic Lodge of Union. Born Dec 18, 1938, in DeSoto, MO, to the late Walter E. and Grace (Gunnett) Rhives. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Parker) Rhives; two daughters: Dawn (Jerry) Whited and Katrina Rhives; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: James Rhives, Norman Rhives and Thomas "Bus" Rhives; and one sister, Betty Haverstick. Ollie G. McCallister age 61 of Hillsboro Missouri. Passed away on November 14, 2007at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City Missouri. Born October 29, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. A retired self employed truck driver, former owner of McCallisters Transport Inc., served two tours of duty in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Amvets and First Assembly of God Church, DeSoto Missouri. Survived by his wife- Gloria M McCallister (nee Kimes) whom he married on September 16, 1969, daughter- Betty Jo (Larry) Alvey of Wentzville Missouri, son- Steven O. (Jeanette) McCallister of Hillsboro Missouri, daughter-Glenda G (Keith) Schweitzer of Valdosta Georgia, brother- Ben (Olene) McCallister of DeSoto Missouri, sister-Shirley (Carlos) Piccinino of Brentwood Missouri, sister- Nora (Jiggs) Pease of DeSoto, Missouri, sister- Iva (Frank) Wilson of Troy Missouri, sister- Betty (Robert) Rhineberger of Festus Missouri, brother- Ed (Maureen) McCallister of St. Louis Missouri. Grandchildren- (5) Kyle and Lynsi Alvey of Wentzville Missouri, Samantha and Danny McCallister of Hillsboro Missouri and Danielle Schweitzer of Valdosta Georgia. Preceded in death by his son- Daniel D. McCallister and brothers- Bobby and Roy McCallister. Also parents- Eugene and Martha McCallister (nee Crisp). Visitation will be held Friday November 16, 2007 from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home Inc.103 Fourth St. Hillsboro Missouri. and Saturday November17, 2007 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Assembly of God Church, 12635 Sate Rt. 21, DeSoto Mo. Funeral service will be held at the church at 2:30 PM Saturday, with the Rev. Ronald Duncan officiating. Interment will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro Missouri, with full military honors. Mary Alice Mock, 81, of Dittmer, formerly of DeSoto, passed away on November 16, 2007 in Dittmer.  She was born February 7, 1926 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Eva (White) Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Mock. She is survived by 2 sons: Thomas (Cheryl) Mock, Florida, and Peter (Allyson) Mock of DeSoto ; 2 daughters:  Ruth (Larry) Akers, DeSoto, and Margaret (Robert) Smith, Dittmer; 1 brother, Donald Edgerton, Warrenton, ; 1 sister, Anna Smith, Licking; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, Marcia and Cathy Mock; 2 brothers, Leroy and Buford Edgerton; 4 sisters:  Helen Ledgerwood, Betty Allen, Eva Morgan and Dorothy Arnold. She was a hairdresser, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Long Arm Machine Quitlers. Mary V. Fisher, 76, DeSoto, passed away on November 17, 2007 in DeSoto.  She was born on January 31, 1931 in Winona, Missouri, the daughter of the late Mabel Berry. She is survived by her husband, Gail W. Fisher of DeSoto; 2 sons David (Kim) Fisher of Indiana and Daniel Fisher, DeSoto; 1 daughter: Barbara (Dale) Meador, Hillsboto; 2 brothers: Orville Gibson and David White, both of Paragould, Arkansas; 5 sisters: Velta McCummiskey, Florida, Violet Roe and Judy Gibson both o f Paragould, Arkansas, Bethel of Florida and Bertha Riley of Illinois; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, 1 daughter Sharon Pigg and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She was a member of t he Morse Mill Baptist Church.  She has worked in food service at Grandview School. Visitation on Monday, November 19, 2007, 5:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto.  Funeral service on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, 11:00a.m. officiated by Rev. Jim Johnson at Mahn Funeral Home with internment at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Ware, Missouri. Memorials can be made in form of donation toward funeral service.

Marian E. (Haun) Shay, 68, of Festus passed away Sat, Nov 17, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. She was a homemaker. Born July 25, 1939, in Peoria, IL, to the late Horace and  Imo (Bright) Haun. She is survived by her husban d, Clark W. Shay. She is survived by two daughters: Nanette Ray and June (Michael) Small; two stepdaughters: Karyn Shay and Lisa Shay; and one stepson, Stephen (Judy) Shay; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren . In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Carl Haun and one sister, Nancy Adkins. A private service will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Crystal City, MO.

Bernice Butram Gillion, 93, of Festus (formerly of Alabama),  passed away Sun, Nov 18, 2007 at Festus Manor Nursing Center. She was a homemaker. Born March 2, 1914, in Prospect, Alabama, to the late W.O. and Gertrude Dolly (Tipper) Smith. She is survived by her son, Charles "C.W." (Janet) Butram; two brothers: Hurse (Alby) Smith and Harry (Ernestine) Smith; one sister, Willene (Fred) McCollum; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Graveside service was held Fri, Nov 23, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Old Prospect Cemetery, Prospect, Alabama.

Michael F. Heavey age 57, of Hillsboro Missouri, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 10, 2007, in Chesterfield Missouri. He was born April 27, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was an alumni of Affton High School class of 1968 and The Brooklyn Law School. He had practiced law in St Louis, and was working as a security officer at MetLife in St Louis Missouri. Michael was a U.S Navy veteran and member of the First Baptist Church of De Soto Missouri. Michael and his wife Clara were married on October 6, 1990 in Fenton Missouri. He is survived by, Wife-Clara Heavey (nee Wilhite) of Hillsboro Missouri. Son-Michael Heavey of Bridgeton Missouri. Son-Gary (Holly) Nunnally of Barnhart Missouri.
