Clovis C. LaPlante

Clovis C. LaPlante age 85 of Hillsboro, MO passed away Friday January 28 at Hillcrest Care Center in DeSoto, MO.  Mr. LaPlante was born November 19, 1914 in Festus, MO.  He is survived by his wife, Mary M. LaPlante (nee. Trudt); whom he married on May 30, 1939 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in St. Louis MO.  He is also survived by: three daughters; Marian M. Wolaver of Shrewsbury, MO; Barbara LaPlante of Hillsboro, MO; and Linda LaPlante of Hillsboro, MO.  One son; David J. LaPlante of Boca Raton, FL.  One brother; Rev. Robert J. LaPlante of Ottawa Canada.  And one sister; Mary Fehner of Marissa, IL.   As well as four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father Louis C. LaPlante Sr., his mother Genevieve Goodman, and also his brothers; Louis C. LaPlante Jr., and Chad LaPlante.  Visitation will be Friday February 4 from 2 until 8 PM at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 4th St. Hillsboro, MO  63050.  The Funeral will be held on Saturday February 5th there will be a short prayer service at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home at 10:00 AM to Good Shepherd Catholic Church for mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.  Masses would be appreciated.  Clovis was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Hillsboro; Knights of Columbus #6401, Hillsboro; U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla #37; he was retired member of Local #88 Meat Cutters; was a founding member of the Jefferson County Amateur Radio Club, his ham radio call sign was K”zero”QPL.  Mr. LaPlante formerly owned grocery stores in the south St. Louis area.
