David Orville Wright, age 81, of Hillsboro
Missouri, passed away on December 12, 2008, in Crystal City Missouri. He was
born on March 2, 1927, in Festus Missouri. David retired from the Ford Motor
Company after 32 years. He was WWII Army veteran serving in Germany. David and
his wife Evelyn of 61 years were married on May 3, 1947, in Festus Missouri. He
is survived by,Wife Evelyn Wright of Hillsboro Missouri. Son-Donald (Evelyn)

Kenneth R. Roderique, age 76, of De
Soto Missouri, passed away on December 11, 2008, at his residence. He was born
June 10, 1932, in Kaskaskia IL. He was a retired cement finisher. Kenneth and
his wife Nancy were married May 5th, 1977 in Hillsboro Missouri. He
is survived by, Wife-Nancy Roderique (nee Koch) of De Soto Missouri.
Daughter-Sherry (Jesse Bud) Vest of De Soto Missouri. Daughter-Denise (Robert
Bobby) Wallace of Georgia. Son-Jim Daughty of Missouri. Son-Richard (Janet)
Daughty of Ill. Sister-Connie (Tom) Walls of Festus Missouri. Sister-Rose Meyer
Roderique of Festus Missouri. Brother-Floyd Roderique of Missouri. Also survived
by his 14 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by, Son-Rodney Roderique.

James E. White,
83, of Festus passed away December 15, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in
Crystal City. Mr. White was a retired Battalion Fire Chief with the city
of St. Louis and a member of Selma Baptist Church. A World War II veteran
of the U.S. Army Air Coprs, he was a third-degree Mason and a member of the St.
Louis Fireman's Retirement Association. Born November 13, 1925, in St.
Louis, he was the son of the late Pearl D. White and Ida (Allison) Stanford. He
is survived by his wife, Eunice (Correll) White of Festus; three sons: James D.
(Susan) White of Woodlawn, Illinois; Jerry L (Sandy) White of Sherman, Texas;
and Warren E. (Theresa) White of Festus; one daughter, Sharon K. (William)
Wallweber of Florissant; two sisters: Rae Crumnine of Greenville and Charlene
Allen of Silvia; one brother, David White of Cape Girardeau, 11 grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother,
Harold White. Funeral services were held December 19 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in
Festus, officiated by the Rev. Sam Williams. Burial was in the Mt.
Catherine Cemetery in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made to

Alfred W. Eagan, 78 of Festus passed away
December 7, 2008 in Festus. Mr. Eagan was born November 2, 1930 in
Arkansas, the son of the late William M. and Julia M. (Hurst) Eagan. He is
survived by a brother, Dempsey (Ruth) Eagan of O'Fallon, MO and a sister, Ruth
Kiss of Florida. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Sonny Eagan and
Ray Eagan. Graveside services were scheduled for 1p.m. December 11 at the
Hillsboro City Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. James Owens. Arrangements

Helen I. Recar, 88, of Valles Mines passed
away December 19, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Recar was a machine operator
for Brown Shoe factory in DeSoto and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic
Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cross stitch and walking. Born
June 29, 1920, in Frankclay, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and
Norma (Wall) Strauser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard
J. Recar. She is survived by two sons: Jerry (Pam) Recar of Bonne Terre and
Kenny J. Recar of Festus; three daughters: Betty (Russell) Sparks of DeSoto,
Terry (John) Dean of Blackwell and Penny Craig of Valles Mines; one brother,
Clifford Strauser of Sullivan; three sisters: Lillian Burns of St. Louis,
Dorothy Roberts of St. Louis and Betty Durrer of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren, 27
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in
death by three brothers: Bob Strauser, Clyde Strauser and Jack Strauser; three
sisters: Lena Strauser, Pearl Strauser and Mildred Doussard; and one son-in-law,
Ralph Craig. Funeral services were held December 23 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic
Church in DeSoto, officiated by Rev. Alex Anderson. Burial was in the

Daphine M. Allen, 84, of DeSoto passed away
December 20, 2008 at the Villas in DeSoto. Mrs. Allen was a bookkeeper for
First Northwest Bank. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and
doll making. Born September 28, 1924 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the
late Delilah (Vincent) Lawrence and Fred Lawrence. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles D. Allen, Sr. She is survived by two sons: Charles
D. (Robyn) Allen, Jr. of McLoud, Oklahoma and Paul V. (Sue) Trusik of St. Ann;
one brother, Bill Lawrence of Fredericktown; five grandchildren: Chris, Mark,
Dave, Paul Jr. and Elizabeth; and four great-grandchildren Gabby, Peton, Brendan
abd Shannon. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Willers; two
brothers, Paul Lawrence and Marion Lawrence; and one sister, Shirley Arndt.
Funeral services were held December 23 at Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto,
officiated by the Rev. Gene Moses. Burial was in the Jefferson Barracks
National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Way.

66, of DeSoto passed away on December 29, 2008 in Crystal City. Mrs. Green
was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church in Marston. She
enjoyed sewing and gardening. Born June 4, 1942 in Pascola. Missouri, she
was the daughter of the late Noah and Gracie (Brewer) Peck. She is survived by
her husband, Junior Green of DeSoto; three sons: Steven Green of French Villiage,
Kenny Green of DeSoto and Jeff Green of Perryville; one daughter, Debbie (Joe)
Jakoubek of DeSoto; two sister: Betty Eldon) Green of Arnold and Doris
(Clarence) Tuck of Bloomsdale; six grandchildren: Trisha, Valerie, Joshua,
Kenny, Michael and Justin; and three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Miguel and
Allie. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles Peek, Jerry
Peek and Jimmy Peek. Funeral services were held January 2 at Mahn Funeral Home
in DeSoto, officiated by the Rev. Frank Townsend. Burial was in Peaceful

56, of Hillsboro, passed away on December 29, 2008 in Crystal City. mr.
Price was an assembler at Chrysler Corporation. He was a member of UAW
Local 136, a NASCAR fan and enjoyed yard work. Born June 23, 1952, in St.
Charles, he was the son of the late Rachel (Osia) and Lige Price Sr. He is
survived by his wife, Mary (Coleman) Price of Hillsboro; four brothers: Harold
(Norma) Price of St. Louis, Lige (Roxie) Price Jr. of Collinsville, Illinois;
Russell (Sharon) Price of St. Louis and Larry Price of Farmington; two sisters:
Lovea (Vince) Birke of St. Louis and Deana (Joe) Ford of Colorado; and one
aunt, Veronica James of Imperial. Funeral services were held January 2 at Mahn

DeSoto, passed away December 31, 2008 in DeSoto. Mrs. Williams was a cook
at Steak 'N' Shake. She enjoyed going to the senior citizens center,
playing bingo, working in the yard and going to yard sales. Born March 31,
1928, in Cadet, she was the daughter of the late David J. and Ruth (Boyer)
Govero. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Williams. She is
survived by one daughter, Sharon Craig of Festus; one sister, Edna Bess of Bonne
Terre; and two grandchildren: Ellis Craig of Dittmer and Lisa (Chris) Baker of
St Ann. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Rose Minino and
Agnes McMillun. Funeral services were to be held January 7 at Mahn Funeral Home

David L. "Festus" Hampton, 47, of DeSoto,
formerly of Florissant, passed away December 26, 2008 in St. Louis County.
Mr. Hampton was an automotive technician with Behlmann Automotive in St. Louis
County. He was a member and shop steward for 16 years of Machinist Local
777, and worked in the pit crew for Ray Walsh Racing in Pevely. Born May
23, 1961 in Advance, he was the son of Jannet (Cody_ Hampton of DeSoto and the
late Harald Hampton. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife,
Pamela L. (Herdlick) Hampton of DeSoto; a son, Dusty Hampton of DeSoto; a
daughter, Shannon Hampton of DeSoto; a sister, Susan (Richard Jr.) Lemon of
Elkton, Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Doug (Debbie) Herdlick of Potosi; a
sister-in-law, Penny ( Michael) Wood of DeSoto; two nephews: CHristopher Pineda
of O'Fallon and Hal Lemon of Elkton, Tennessee; and three nieces: Jessica Pineda
of Florissant, Laura Pineda of Florissant and Lisa (Walter) Lopez of O'Fallon.
He was preceded in death by three infant daughters. Funeral services were held
December 20 at Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto, officiated by the Rev. Mark Olds.
Burial was in the Forrest Hill Memorial Gardens in Morley, Missouri.

away December 27, 2008 at his home. Mr. Lamkey was a truck drive, Born
January 14, 1940 in Butts, Missouri; he was the son of the late Sam and Getta
(Murray) Lamkey. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Washburn) Lamkey of Ste.
Genevieve; a son, Alvin Lamkey of Arnold; two daughters: Elizabeth Thrasher of
St. Charles and Stacy (James) Davis of Park Hills; a sister Mary Null of DeSoto;
two stepbrothers: Charles Belfield of Sullivan and Gene Belfield of Bonne Terre;
a stepsister, Janet Belfield of Sullivan, seven grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother Vernon Lamkey.

passed away on December 27, 2008 at Community Manor Nursing Home in Farmington.
Mrs. Carron was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in
Festus and the United Methodist Women. She taught cake decorating,
crocheting and knitting at Jefferson College. Born March 19, 1914, in
Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Adolph Otto and Sally (Shanks)
Giebler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Errol (E.J.) Carron.
She is survived by two sons: Errol (Sandy) Carron of Park Hills and Rodney
(Alta) Carron of Barnhart; two daughters: Ellen Louise (Paul) Wilhelm of Fenton
and Paula Ann Carron of St. Peters; 12 grandchildren; and 20
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Adolph
James Giebler and one sister, Martha Bachek. Funeral services were held Jan 2 at
Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Robert Payne.
Burial was in the Fairview Presbyterian Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may
