Terri Ann Culey, age 15, of De Soto Missouri, passed away suddenly on Monday June 2, 2008, in De Soto Missouri. Terri was born August 7, 1992 in St Louis Missouri. She was a student at De Soto High School. Terri is survived by, her parents Tim and Tammy Culey of De Soto Missouri, Her Uncle Raece (Ginny Buchholz) Culey, of De Soto Missouri, Brother Tim (Bobbie Jo) Barnhart of Leadwood Missouri. Brother Chris Culey of De Soto Missouri, Sister Suzanne (Justin Powers) Culey, of De Soto Missouri. Sister Stephanie Culey of De Soto Missouri. Grandparents Denzel and Marlene Culey, of Hillsboro Missouri, Grandparents Bob and Dee Barnhart of Potosi Missouri. Terri is also survived by a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday June 7, 2008, from 10AM to 1PM at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, Hillsboro Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 1PM. Burton Kelly "B.K." Drury, 83, of Festus, passed away Sat, June 7, 2008 at his Festus residence. He was retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass as a clerk and was a US Army WW II veteran. He had also been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ste Genevieve VFW, Elks Lodge 1721, Conservation Club and a member of 70th Divison of US Army. Born Oct 27, 1924, in Ste Genevieve, MO. to the late Henry Joseph and Philomena (Ehler) Drury. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Giesler) Drury; 4 sons: Delray (Barbara) Drury of Herculaneum, Ronald (Patricia) Drury of California, MO, Kem (Mary Bourisaw) Drury of Park Hills and Kelly (Brenda) Drury of Festus; 1 daughter, Gale Ann (Danny) Loesch of Festus; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister, Charlene (Thomas) Cissell of St Charles, MO. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 4 sisters. Funeral service was Tues, June 10, 2008 at Mahn Twin City Chapel. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Crystal City.

VINCENT J. BOYER, 77, of Richwoods died June 7, 2008, in Potosi.  Mr. Boyer was a self-employed log cutter who was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and loved bowling, hunting, fishing and the outdoors.  He served in the U.S. Army.  Born March 22, 1931, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Raymond and Susie (DeClue) Boyer. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Fockler) Boyer; four sons: Larry Boyer of St. Clair, John Boyer of Mineral Point, Elmer ( Kim) Boyer of Old Mines and Billy Mitchell of Richwoods; hree daughters: Vivian Shoults of Richwoods, Linda Mitchell of Old Mines and Wanda Mitchell of St. Louis; two brothers: Tom (Sue) Boyer of Mapaville and Michael (Sheila) Boyer of Crystal City; two sisters: Edna Merseal of Blackwell and Virginia (Nova) Hart of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Leo and Noah Boyer. Cora Belle (Rose) Zumwalt, 81, of Festus passed away June 14, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.  Mrs. Zumwalt was a homemaker.  Born November 1, 1926, in Petoskey, Michigan; she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rhoda (Halcomb) Rose. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn P. Zumwalt. She is survived by two daughters:  Patricia (Glenn) Keefe of Independence and Jenny Drury of Angleton, Texas; two sons: Preston Zumwalt of Festus and Michael (Debra) Zumwalt of Penrose, Colorado; one sister, Emma Derfiny of South Gage, Michigan; two brothers: Oliver Rose and Harold Rose, both of Westland, Michigan; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers: George Rose and Lee Rose and a sister, Helen Clark. Funeral services were held June 16 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by Rev. Jim Owens.  Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.  Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus.

Maxine D. (Conway) Sapaugh-Beard, 97, of Crystal City (formerly of Lebanon, MO) passed away June 14, 2008 at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center. She was a homemaker and her hobbies were cooking, gardening and feeding the birds and bunnies. Born Feb 12, 19 11, in Turtle, MO, to the late Tom and Ida (Vance) Conway. She is survived by a son, Larry (Beverly) Sapaugh of Festus and a daughter, Opal Harvey, of Indiana; one grandaughter, Tiffany (Steve) Charleville of Festus; and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband,  Harold Sapaugh and second husband,  Houston Beard; two sons: Harold Sapaugh and Herchel Sapaugh; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral service was Wed, June 18, 2008 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem, MO.

'Chris' Ross Sr., 35 of DeSoto, passed away June 14, 2008 in DeSoto.  He was born December 31, 1972 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  He was captain for the Odyssea Marine Company, Louisiana. He is survive d by his fiancee, Farrah Malloy of DeSoto; his mother, Donna (Veselske) Faraone of Hillsboro;  his father Robert C. Ross of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; three sons, Christopher Ross Jr., Joshua Ross and Sean Ross, all of DeSoto; two brothers, Gregory Ross and Jeremy Ross, both of Hillsboro; his grandmother, Monica Ross of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; nephew, Zachery Ross of Imperial; three aunts, Lori, Terrie and Linda; 2 uncles Dan and Gene; and cousins, Brittany and Nathan. Funeral services was June 20 at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel with Rev Gene Moses officiating.  Interment was in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery.  Memorial can be made to the family.

Jimmy V, Privett, 72, of DeSoto, passed away June 19, 2008 in St. Louis.  He was born March 22, 1936 in Weona, Arkansas.  He was a mechanic retired from Schaffer Shell in St. Louis and later a school bus driver for the Festus R-6 School District. He is survived by his wife, Sue (nee Stanford) Privett, who he married December 9, 1953 in Mississippi;  his mother, Rossie (nee New) Privett of Arkansas; his daughter Theresa Storie of Lebanon, Illinois; four sons, Jimmy DeWayne (Nancy) Privett of Festus, Bobby Ray (Sheila) Privett of Spanish Lake; Scott Allen (Stephanie) Privett of Ironton, Randy (Terry) Loehr of Moscow Mills; three sisters, Frieda (Elmo) Foster, Geraldine (James) Castleman, Nancy Privet t, all of Arkansas; four brothers, Fred (Betty) Privett of Mississippi, Junior (Dorothy) Privett and Charlie (Sara) Privett both of Arkansas, Randy (Clara) Privett of Mississippi; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lemon "Pete" Privett. Funeral service was June 21 at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel with the Rev. Don Krumsig officiating.  ; interment was in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery.

Daniel L. Patton, 58 of DeSoto, passed away on June 18, 2008 in DeSoto.  He was born on September 9, 1949 in Burlington, Iowa;  the son of Earl and Marcelena (nee Edgington) Patton of DeSoto.  He was a truck driver for Beelman Truck Company. Along with his parents he is survived by 2 daughters, Candance Johnston and Christy (James) Hoagland all of Warsaw, MO; three sisters:  Dericia Ketcherside and Debborah Patton both of DeSoto; and Darcella (Alan) Breuer of Palmyra, Mo; 4 grandchildren: Amber, Gwen, Christian and Cameron. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edward Ketcherside. Mr. Patton was a member of the Hillsboro Masonic Hall.  He liked going to auctions and garage sales. Graveside services were held on June 24, at DeSoto City Cemetery at 11:00a.m. with the Rev. Jim Owens officiating.

BRETT L. DAUGHERTY, 35, of Dupo, Illinois, formerly of DeSoto, passed away on June 25, 2008 at his residence.  Mr. Daugherty was born on December 14, 1972 in Festus, Missouri; the son of Lawrence Daugherty of DeSoto and Julynn (nee Tucker) Daugherty of Dupo, Illinois. Mr. Daugherty is survived by his parents and stepmother, Debbie Daugherty, DeSoto; 2  brothers, Larry and Eric Daugherty both of DeSoto; one sister, Chantell Daugherty of St. Louis; 2 nephews, Colby & Tristian; a niece, Erica (Murphy) Gordon; a great nephew, Little Murphy and 1 great niece, Lacie.  Also survived by other family members and friends. Mr. Daugherty was a cook for the Noon Day Club in St. Louis.  He enjoyed cooking and collecting Busch mugs. Services will be private.

Nadine Fay Eckerthart, 71, of Festus passed away June 25, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.  Mrs. Eckerthart was a homemaker.  Born February 13, 1937, in Pilot Knob, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Almeda (Vance) Tripp. She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Eckerthart Sr. of Festus; one daughter, Maria (Kevin) Marberry of Festus; four sons: Steven (Janice) Eckert of Steelville, E. Joe (Eleanore) Eckert of Springfield, Illinois, Jerry Eckerthart of St. Louis, and Joseph "Joey" Eckerthart Jr. of Festus; 16 grandchildren: Robert, Crystal, David, Christina, Cynthia, Maria L., Ronnie, Jerry, Joseph, Eli Sr., Thomas, Rose, Michael, Justin, Travis and Jimmy; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons:  David Eckert and Ricky Tripp; one brother, Gale Tripp; and two sisters: Alberta Frances and Wilma Cantrell. Funeral services were held June 28, 2008 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by Rev. CARL C. 'TIGER'  FONVILLE, 82, of Festus, passed away on June 23, 2008 at Fountainbleu Nursing Center.  Mr. Fonville was born February 6, 1926 in Bernie, Missouri.  He was the son of the late Arthur and Tessie (Henderson) Fonville. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy. He is also survived by his son Carl D. (Kathy) Fonville of Florida; a step-son Robert and 2 step-daughters: Jeannie and Lona; 4 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Mr. Fonville has served in the US Merchant Marine Corps and was a steel worker for 35 years with the Granite City Steel Company in Illinois. Visitation will be at Mahn Funeral Home, Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. with funeral service on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 10:00a.m. with Rev. Ruth Evans, 81, of Festus, passed away on June 25, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.  Mrs. Evans was a cook with Festus Manor Nursing Center.  She was a member of Mt. Pligrim Freewell Baptist Church and of War Mothers Harrison-Cook Chapter 43, and she enjoyed cooking and sewing.  Born September 7, 1926, in Camden, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Vergie (Carey) Slaughter.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Leo E. Evans. She is survived by two daughters: Debra (Clifton) James of Festus and Donna (Cedric) Booker of St. Louis; four sons: Lee (Nell) Slaughter of Mountain View, California, Robert Evans of Anaheim, California, Kenneth (Cecelia) Evans of Las Vegas and Vincent Evans of St. Louis; a sister, Etta McWell of St. Louis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Slaughter. Funeral services were held July 2, at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by minister Donna Booker.  Burial was in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Mt. SCHMIEG, 81, of DeSoto passed away June 28, 2008 in DeSoto.  Mr. Schmieg was a pipe fitter and a member of Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.  He began Fur Takers of America in 1958 and co-founded Missouri Trappers of America in 1968.  Born November 3, 1926 in Fults, Illinois; he was the son of the late William and Eleanora Schmieg. He is survived by his wife, Pauline N. (Nunez) Schmieg of DeSoto; a daughter, Donna Falkenberry of Festus; a brother, Milford (Shirley) Schmieg of St. Louis; a sister, Betty Thum of Boston, Massachusetts; two grandchildren; Nathan Schmieg and Tony Falkenberg; a great-grandchild, Jaden Schmieg, and his friend, Susan Thomas of St. Louis.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Schmieg. GRACE, 89, of DeSoto passed away on June 27, 2008 in DeSoto.  Mrs. Grace was an inspector with the Rockwell Corporation.  She enjoyed reading, painting, knitting and crocheting.  Born November 17, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska; she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Minnie (Johnson) Swanson.  She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Grace.
