Boby June Mayfield, 64, of Hillsboro passed away August 27, 2009 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County.  Mrs. Mayfield was an account representative at K & M Jewelry and a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading, gardening and animals.  Born October 15, 1944 in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Ida (Yates) Casey.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Mayfield. She is survived by three daughters:  Patty (John) Bradford of Alaska, Joanna Gunnett of Hillsboro and Monica Hunt of Hillsboro; two brothers: Ed (Ruth) Casey of Tennessee and Malcolm Roger (Debbie) Casey of DeSoto; two sisters: Dora (Al) Richards of Michigan and Marcella Boschert of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren: Heather, John, James, Tony, Andrew, Jaymee and Coty; and two great-grandchildren: Riley and Austin.  She was preceded in death by one brother, B.G.Casey; and three sisters: Lucille Fuller, Nadine Newton and Laura Casey. Clint Michael Felton, 29, of Festus passed away August 28, 2009 at his residence.  Mr. Felton was a fabricatior/welder.  He was a member of the Church of Christ, enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Born May 15, 1980 in Farmington, he was the son of Rick (Shelly) of Texas and Deborah (James A.) Schlake Merseal of DeSoto. In additional to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Emily Byers of Festus; three sons: Markcus Felton of Festus, Mason Taylor Felton of Illinois and Mason Tyler Pangburn of Festus; two brothers: Anthony (Janice) Merseal of DeSoto and Scott Merseal of DeSoto; one sister, Lisa (Zack) Peters of St. Louis; and two grandparents: Helen Felton of Arkansas and Robert Schlake. Reverend Louis "Louie" Drinen, 78, passed away August 28, 2009 in Herculaneum, MO. Reverend Drinen was born November 9, 1931 in Pevely, MO. Reverend Drinen was a beloved Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and beloved friend. He was a minister and talented musician. He sang and played the violin, mandolin, guitar and harmonica. He was known as the "Hat man" because he would put on different hats for the different songs he would perform. His great Faith and Love for Jesus was apparent to anyone who came in contact with him. He gave so much Joy, Comfort, Compassion and Love to everyone he knew and visited with. He was a member of the Gateway Harmonica Club. He was a mechanic in the Army and he along with his father, sons and grandsons loved to restore old cars. He especially loved his Crosley. It was totally restored and featured on the front of his one and only album cover. The album is titled When the Sun Comes Up and he sang and played and produced this album only as a gift for use in his ministry. He was a humble, soft spoken man. A one of a kind man who I was so very blessed to know. He performed many weddings, funerals as well as performing his Bluegrass/Country/Gospel at many fairs and festivals. He also gave so much of his time to minister to those in 20 area nursing homes in the area as well as many jails and prisons. I knew him as "Cousin Louie" and he made my heart smile! Reverend Louis "Louie" Drinen was born November 9th, 1931 to the late Walter and Clara (Cawvey) Drinen in Pevely Missouri. He was a minister, auto mechanic and estimator for State Farm. He was a member of the Radiant Life Pentecostal Church, The Gateway Harmonica Club and Crosley Automobile Club and the Show me Antique Car Club. he was a veteren of the U.S. Army and interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis Missouri. He is survived by two daughters: Nancy C. (Ed) Ferguson of Pittsboro, Indiana and Susan Welch of St. Louis; Two sons: Keith L. (Pamela) Drinen of Crystal City and Robin Ray of Festus. Five Grandchildren: Matthew Drinen, Martha Ferguson-Blodgett, Eddie Ferguson, Erin Drinen and Corey Ray; one great-grandson, Joel Blodgett: and two brothers: Jesse (the late Verna "Snookie") Drinen of Herculaneum and Ray (Marie)Drinen of Herculaneum. Funeral Services were held September 2nd at Radiant Life Pentecostal Church officiated by Reverend Eddie Ferguson and the Reverend Randy Gray as well as his Grandson the new Reverend Matthew Drinen. Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Rescue Mission.

Tyroma L. Boussum, 83, of DeSoto passed away August 28, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Boussum was a homemaker and a 50-plus-year member of Kingdon Hall of Jehovah Witness in Imperial.  She was an avid doll collector with more than 1,000 in her collection. Born October 16, 1925 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mabel (Kilgore) Knight.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Boussum, Sr. She is survived by two sons: Roy A. (Yolanda) Boussum Jr., and Richard Boussum, both of Arnold; two daughters:  Karen (William) Meier of DeSoto and Pamela (Kurt) Wiegert of High Ridge; one niece, Debra (Mike Gebel) Boussum-Gebel of St. Louis; a brother-in-law Carl (Ann) Boussum of St. Louis; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Glosemeyer of St. Louis; nine grandchildren: Charyl (Randy) Skaggs, Connie (David) Eubanks, Jason Boussum, Jon Boussum, Joseph (Dixie) Boussum, Ryan Boussum, Eric Boussum, Jamie Wiegert,  and Rosalynn Wiegert; and four great-grandchildren: Luke Skaggs, Lila Skaggs, Morgan Boussum and Isabella Boussum. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Pickerhill and Richard Knight; and one sister, Alice Gibson. Memoiral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Imperial, officiated by Brother Ronald Whitaker.  Burial is in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto.

Hazel Pearl Niehaus, 95, of DeSoto, formerly of Florissant, passed away August 29, 2009 at the Villas. Mrs. Niehaus was a real estate agent for Century 21.  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and enjoyed socializing, canning vegetables, cooking, and baking. Born April 28, 1914 in Arkansas; she was the daughter of the late Fount and Kathryn (Rutledge) Foushee.  She was preceded in death by two husbands: William Fike and Lester Niehaus. She is survived by one daughter, Laura Wilson of Hillsboro; one son, David (Carol) Niehaus of Kansas City; one sister, Florence Holden of Arkansas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held September 1 at Mahn Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Andrew Stalleck.  Burial was in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Florissant. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto.
