Robert L. Parmeley, 76, of DeSoto entered into rest March 9, 2009 at deGreeff Hospice House in St Louis. He had worked as a rail tester for Sperry Rail Service and had owned the Ivy Lounge in DeSoto from 67-74. He was a US Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. Born Sept 5, 1932, in DeSoto, to the late Roy and Julie (Craig) Parmeley. He is survived by son, Brian (Kristine) Parmeley; daughters: Marcia (Doug) White and Stacia White; brothers: Leroy (Sandy) Parmeley and Earl Parmeley; and 6 grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Don and Clarence Parmeley. Funeral service was Thurs, March 12, 2009 at Mahn Twin City Chapel of Festus. Burial was at JB National Cem.

Robert Charles Hansen age 80, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at home. Bob was a retired Financial Advisor in the Insurance industry, A Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War and was a line officer in the Naval Reserve who retired as Captain. Survived by his wife Bee Hansen (nee Crocker) of Hillsboro Missouri, whom he married on July the 12, 1953. Also survived by Son- Randy (Terrie) Hansen of Hendersonville TN, Grandchildren- Ross (Kaya) Stegner of Charleston SC, Ryan Stegner of Nashville TN, Robert D. Hansen of Hendersonville TN and A.J. Hansen of Hendersonville TN as well as a great granddaughter Laylah Stegner of Charleston SC. Preceded in death by, parents- Harry R. and Florence A. Hansen (nee Larson), Daughter-Debra Lynn Hansen, brother- Jack Hansen and two sisters- Lucille Green and Janice Hensley. Interment will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, MO on Friday, March 20th at 10 AM (meet behind the cemetery office no later than 9:45 AM) A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday March 20, 2009, from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM and a Memorial Service immediately following at 12:30 PM at the Robert D. Charles W. "Bill" Thomason, 80, of St. Louis passed away on March 9, 2009, in St. Louis. Mr. Thomason was a warehouse driver for a medical products supply company. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Teamsters Union Local 688. Born January 14, 1929 in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Zene and Dixie Thomason. Sandra A. Zimmerly, 45, of Arnold, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away March 14, 2009 in Arnold.  Mrs. Zimmerly was a machine operator for Semco Plastics.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Victoria and she enjoyed music and spending time with her mother.  Born July 24, 11963 in Crystal City; she was the daughter of Alice (Oglesby) and LeRoy Zimmerly Sr. of Festus. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her boyfriend, John Woodhall of St. Louis; one brother, LeRoy Zimmerly, Jr. of French Village; two sisters: Kimberly Zimmerly of St. Louis and Linda Zimmerly of Festus; one grandmother, Ethel Zimmerly of Hillsboro; one niece, Amanda Zimmerly of Hillsboro; and a cousin, Scott Bartlett of Hillsboro. Funeral services were to be held March 18 at Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto, officiated by the Rev. Born July 7, 1957, in Maui, Hawaii, she was the daughter of Clara (Asuko) DeSoto of Walnut, California, and the late Larry DeSoto. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, David W. Couch of St. Louis; two daughters: Delana Brooks of St. Clair and Lisa (Michael) Goodwin of DeSoto; two sons: David J. Brenda Thompson, 61, of DeSoto passed away March 24, 2009 in DeSoto. Mrs. Thompson was an assembler for L.M.C. Plastics and enjoyed gardening, reality shows, soap operas and casinos. Born April 22, 1947, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Floyd T. and Virginia (Hilderbrand) Fadler. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Thompson of DeSoto; three sons: Doug Thompson of DeSoto , Steven (Becca) Thompson of DeSoto and Jamie Thompson of DeSoto; seven brothers: Robert (Judy) Fadler of Festus, Daniel (Joy) Fadler of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jim (Bev) Brock of Park Hills, Paul Fadler of DeSoto, Mike (Bessie) Fadler of Festus, Terry (Jan) Fadler of St. Charles and William Fadler of Hematite; three sisters: Carolyn Bergmann of Fredericktown, Toni (George) Lay of Fredericktown and Diane (Dick) William of Park Hills; and five grandchildren. "Dean", Walther 77, of DeSoto passed away on Friday, March 27, 2009 in Hillsboro, Born December 27, 1931 in West Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Josie (Kazee) Cassidy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Walther. She will be sadly missed by her family, a son Eddie L. (EIleen) Bell of DeSoto; and three daughters: Betty M. (Robert) Josias of DeSoto, and Sherri L. Heckenkamp of Hillsboro; dear sister of Wilma (Bethel) Rakes, Ohio, Jackie (David) Saylor, Ohio and Adeline Workman, Texas; the mother-in-law of Fred Pueschel, Wentzville. the beloved grandmother of Wes, Whitney, Andrew, Deadra, Josie, Jessica, Samantha, and A.J.; dearest great-grandmother of Kelli, Kerri and Jayden. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances P. Pueschel, two brothers, James Cassidy and Fleury Cassidy; two sisters Shirley Rakes and Mavis Coyle. Mrs. Walther was a machinist for Boeing McDonnel Douglas Corporation; a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and the UAW. She loved her family dearly. Rev. Raymond W. Clark Sr., 55, House Springs, Missouri, passed away on March 26, 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri. Born November 6, 1953 in St. Louis; he was the son of the late Harry T. and Catherine (Dowling) Clark. She is survived by his loving wife June (Mudd) Clark of House Springs. Mr. Clark is also survived by two sons: Raymond (Brenda) Clark, Jr., Fenton and Jonthan (Reba) Clark, House Springs; two daughters: Sarah Evers, House Springs and Catherine Clark, Festus; a brother Harry Clark, Cedar Hill; two sisters: Donna (LeRoy) LaChance, Desoto and Judy (Terry) Courtois, DeSoto; and 4 grandchildren: Autumn, Jayce, Landen, and MacKenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Donald Clark, James Clark and Robert Clark and a nephew Butch LaChance. Mr. Clark was a mechanic and auto inspector; he enjoyed fishing, camping, working on cars and spending time with family. Funeral services were held at Mahn Funeral Home on Monday, March 30 with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto, Rev. Bruce Valle officiated the funeral service. Fredie Leo "Fred" Baty,  66, of Hillsboro, formerly of St. Charles, passed away on March 25, 2009 in Hillsboro. Mr. Baty was a cabinetry carpenter. He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Rector, Arkansas; and attended Sandy Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Born May 26, 1942 in Greenway, Arkansas; he was the son of the late Leo N and Ova M. (Wilkes) Baty.He is survived by two former wives: Mary (Starr) Baty and Vera Baty; one granddaughter, Candyce Baty of St. Louis; one sister, Joann Baty of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one brother-in-law Carl Rogers of Festus; five nephews, four nieces and a special friend Shirley Newberry of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by two sons: Alan Baty and David Baty; and one sister, Leova Rogers. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and funeral services are scheduled for 11a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2009 at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Burial was private. He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Adams) Ford of Festus; one son, Robert (Renee) Ford III of Arnold; one daughter, Debi (Roger) Hurst of Festus; three brothers: Dalton Ford, Charles Ford and Wayne Ford, all of Texas; one sister, Mary (Doc) Poore of New Madrid; five grandchildren: Eric (Brandy) Hurst, Ryan "Roscoe" (Nicole) Hurst, Robert L. Ford IV, Chris Buenniger; and three great-grandchildren: Ashleigh Hurst, Rian-Skai Hurst and Xander Hurst. He was proceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Buenniger; two brothers: David Ford and Jerry Ford; and two sisters: Viva Hughes and Sue Carafol. A memorial gathering was held April 2, 2009 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Mr. Ford donated his body to Washington University School of Medicine. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.

Peggy S. Mayer, 62, DeSoto, passed away at St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis on March 28, 2009. She was a homemaker, enjoyed ceramics, needle work and was a Girl Scout Leader. Born September 27, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio; she was the daughter of Henrittia S. (McCain) Taylor, California and the late Arnold E. Neal. She was preceded in death recently by her loving husband, Vance G. Mayer. She is survived by three daughters: Yvonne (Timothy) Blanton-Haddrell, England, Marilyn (Jim) Sanders, Cadet, and Susan Tallo, DeSoto; three brothers: Michael Neal, Colorado, Kevin Neal and Keith Neal both of California; three sisters: Vicki (Bob) Kellerhals, California, Sonya (David) Payne, South Carolina and Colleen (Tom) Kieszek, Vermont; four grandchildren: Priscilla (Jimmy), Emily, John Patrick and Matthew Justin; and two great-granchildren: Jimmy and Gregory; her step-father Larry Taylor in California. Besides her husband and parents she was preced in death by two brothers, Harry Neal and Steve Neal; two sisters Betty Lou Neal and Debra Rodgers and one great grandchild, Lucas. Robin "Fred" Bradford, 53, Londell passed away March 15, 2009, in Franklin County. Mr. Bradford was a heavy equipment operator with the Franklin County Highway Department, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Amvets Post #48 in DeSoto and the National Rifle Association. He loved his motorcycle. Born November 13, 1955 in St. Louis; he was the son of the late Roy and Mary Jane (Evans) Bradford. He is survived by his wife, Denise (Turner) Bradford, St. Clair; three sons: Jason (Tiffany) Bradford, Idaho, Andrew Bradford, St. Clair, and Brandon Bradford, St. Clair; two daughters: Amanda (John) Harris, Edgar Springs and Holly Bradford, St. Clair; and seven grandchildren: Naylissa, Jackson, Skyler, ALexis, Lily, Jace and Mary Jane. Homer D. Ketcherside Sr., 62, DeSoto passed away on March 31, 2009 at St. Anthony;s Hospital, St. Louis. Born September 25, 1946 in Bonne Terre; he was the son of the late Buford and Pearl (Thebeau) Ketcherside. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Oglesby) Ketcherside, DeSoto. He is also survived by two daughters: Angela Kay Ketcherside, DeSoto and Carrie M. (Robert) Valdez, DeSoto; a brother Bernard (Martha) Ketcherside, DeSoto and a sister, Glenda Boardman, DeSoto. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Homer D. Ketcherside, Jr. and a brother, Leonard Ketcherside. Mr. Ketcherside was a machinist for Dana Corporation; he worked on lawn mowers and loved to go hunting. Funeral services were scheduled for Friday April 3, at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel at 10:00a.m. with burial at Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, DeSoto. Rev. Roger Driggs officiating the funeral service. Donald W. Barbee, 69, DeSoto, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2009 in DeSoto. Mr. Barbee was a signalman for the Union Pacific Railroad; where he had worked for 32 years. He was a member of DeSoto Elks #689, friends of the DeSoto Amvets Post #48. He loved to fish, enjoyed playing pool and the outdoors. He enjoyed watching W.W. W and College Final Four. Mr. Barbee was born October 3, 1939 in Newtown, Missouri; he was the son of the late Wayne and Helen (White) Barbee. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen (Deuschle) Barbee. He is also survived by a son, Tracy Dean Barbee of DeSoto; a brother, Larry (Darlene) Barbee of Kansas City; a nephew, Brent Barbee of Kansas City; a great niece and many friends. Richard L. Riney, 72, of Festus, formerly of Crystal City, passed away March 31, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City. Mr. Riney worked for the Crystal City Water Department, Doe Run Company, was a laundry attendant at Country Woods Nursing Home and had been a driver for Lemme Funeral Home and Mahn Funeral Home. He was a graduate of Douglass High School and a member of Ward Chapel AME Church in Festus. Born September 2, 1936 in St. Marys, he was the son of the late Quandrell and Sylvia (Coffman) Riney.
