Russell Wiley died on February 1, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO at the age of 78. He was born on August 8, 1931 in Belgrade, MO.  He was the son of Robert LeRoy & Mae Frances (nee Moser) Wiley. He is survived by his wife Wanda L. (nee Hatridge) WIley of De Soto, MO; three daughters, Mona (TIm) May of Panama City Beach, FL; Anita R. Wiley of Sunrise Beach MO; and Toni (Kevin) Cooke of De Soto, MO; and one son Robert "Bob" Wiley of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren, Tim May II, Russell LaFloure, Shawna Via, Tara Coooke, & Kelly Cooke. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings, Timothy Wiley, Maxine Ritter, Irene Anderson, Lillian Basto, Elenora Mackley, Georgia Dickey, John WIley, Jim Wiley, & Verneal Burt. Mr. Wiley served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He retired from Chrysler Corp. where he worked as a Maintenance Superintendent. Sheryl Christopher, 51, of DeSoto, entered into rest on February 2, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City. Born March 27, 1958 in St. Louis; she was the loving daughter of Larry and Barbara (Green) Smith of Terre du Lac, Bonne Terre, MO. She is survived by her loving husband, Wade A Christopher of DeSoto.  Sheryl was a legal assistant for Bray & Singletary Law Firm in Florida (worked out of home office in Orlando Florida). She enjoyed modeling, fishing and traveling. She loved family gatherings.  Mrs. Christopher is also survived by a son Carter S. Christopher III of DeSoto; Father-in-law, Wade Christopher Jr., Hastings, Florida; four brothers: Mark (Mary Beth) Smith of DeSoto, Randall (Judy) Smith of Hillsboro, Brian (Keith) Smith of Hillsboro and Scott (Michelle) Smith of DeSoto; a brother-in-law: William Christopher of Columbia, South Caroline, and sister-in-law, Beverly Jinkens of Oklahoma.  Funeral service were officiated by Pastor Cletus Reed under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto.  Services were held Friday, February 5, 2010 at  10:00a.m.  Burial was in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, DeSoto.  The family would like donations to go to the National Mutliple Sclerosis Society, Gateway Area Chapter, Tribute & Memorials Gifts, P.O. Alissa Deana Goedecke-Blanton, 23, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 8, 2010 in Orlando Florida. She worked for the AT & T Wireless Call Center in Orlando, was a graduate of Jefferson College, and was a member of the Journey Christian Church. Born September 9, 1986 in Festus, MO to Connie (Danny) Hassell of Festus, MO and Mark Goedecke. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Brent Blanton of Cocoa, FL, sister, Ashley Hassell and brother, Luke Hassell. Memorial Service: Thursday, February 18, 2010. Time: 11:00am. Francine Kley, 46, of Hillsboro passed away February 9, 2010 at her home.  Mrs. Kley was a homemaker.  Born August 3, 1963, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Arthur Schlef of Chesterfield and the late Elnora (Redfern) Schlef. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Marvin "Perry" Kley Jr. of Hillsboro; one son, Andrew Paul Kley of Hillsboro; two daughters: Beth Brown of Hillsboro and Sarah Ann Kley of Hillsboro; one grandson, Joseph Brown; one brother, Clarence (Linda) Schlef of DeSoto and 12 sisters: Patricia Schlef of Hillsboro, Ellen (Juan) Najera of Barnhart, Thelma Matthews of Kansas City, Wanda Luber of St. Charles, Cheryl (Chris) Queen of Bonne Terre, Edna (Mike) Stevens of Bonne Terre, Debbie (John) Thomas of Festus, Betty (Alvin) Richards of DeSoto, Mary (Jim) Wells of Chesterfield, Donna (Joe) Cordes of O"Fallon, Doris (Steve) Kuhlenbeck of Arizona and Bonnie (Mike) Byciuk of Arizona. Funeral services were held February 13, 2010 at Mahn Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Elmer E. “Buck” Massa, age 84, of Cadet, Missouri, formerly of Herculaneum, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at his residence.  He was born January 16, 1926 in Delta, Missouri the son of the late Alma Emaline (nee Goodwin) and Elmer Joseph Massa.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years Joyce Lee (nee Warner) Massa, daughters Janet Lee (Bill Pollard) Massa of Pevely, Elizabeth “Becky” (Michael) Green of Blackwell, Missouri and Lorri Ann Williams of Blackwell, sons Elmer “Joe” (Caren) Massa of St. Charles, Missouri, Tony (Lisa) Massa of Blackwell, Mark Alan Massa of Pevely and Angelo (Sheryl) Massa of DeSoto, Missouri.  Also surviving are brothers Samuel (the late Jane) Massa of Advance, Missouri and Rev. Clinton (the late Marie) Massa of Marble Hill, Missouri, a sister Evelyn (the late Robert) Ricardi of Washington, Missouri and “62 plus” grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Caren Denise Davis, a brother Lemuel (the late Betty) Massa, a sister Mildred Froman, grandchildren Bradley Clark, Jacob Laiben, Amanda Davis and Rev. Rick Avila, Sr., and great-grandson Ricky Joe Avila, Jr. He was a retired serviceman for Home Service Gas in Barnhart, Missouri, a member of MaGee Chapel Church in Marble Hill, a member of American Legion #253 in Festus and a Navy veteran of WW II. Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, Missouri with funeral services 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, 2010 officiated by Rev. She  was born on June 18, 1927 in Belle, MO . She was the daughter of Mose and Clara (Rogers) Withouse.  She is survived by her children, Melba (Clyde) Gabbert of Lonedell, MO; Judy (Earl) Zumwalt of Barnhart, MO; Mary Bockskopf of Imperial, MO; Ronald (Brenda Chastain) Pierce of House Springs, MO; Glen "Rick" (Angela) Pierce of Park Hills, MO; Kenneth (Evelyn Brakefield) Pierce of Festus, MO; Daughter-in-law, Jill Pierce of Festus, MO; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Vaughn of De Soto, MO; and Marie Howell of De Soto, MO. Beth Ann Teague, age 44, of Festus, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Ironton, Missouri August 23, 1965 the daughter of Betty Rose (nee Anderson) Moorehouse of DeSoto, Missouri and Marvin H. Young of Sullivan, Missouri.  In addition to her parents she is survived by her step-father Allen Moorehouse, daughters Amanda (Erick) Hallenberger of Festus, Missouri and Diana Brakefield of Arnold, Missouri, a granddaughter Nephena Hallenberger, brothers David H. (Cindy) Young of Festus and Marvin W. Young of Pevely, sisters Emily (David) Prosser of DeSoto and Tammy (Bill) Mitchell of Imperial, Missouri, step-brother Daniel Moorehouse of Texas and step-sister Tammy (Brian) Self of Hillsboro, Missouri. She was a member of the Radiant Life Pentecostal Church of Festus. Visitation at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, Pevely from 10:00 A.M. Grace A. Sherbutte, 56, Desoto passed away Febrary 10, 2010 at her home.  Mrs. Sherbutte was a homemaker and a member of Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.  Born November 21, 1953, in Port H, Michigan.  She was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Meyers) Kilbourn. She is survived by her husband, Fred Sherbutte of DeSoto; two sons: Dale Sherbutte of Michigan and Jeff Sherbutte of Michigan; three daughters: Tammy Sherbutte of Michigan,Tina Frost of DeSoto and Sherry Sherbutte of DeSoto; one brother, Chuch Kilbourn of Michigan; one sister, Mary Fosterof Michigan; and two grandchildren: Jeffrey II and Tyeshia.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Motta; and three brothers: Danny Kilbourn, Billy Kilbourn and Leo Kilbourn. Funeral services were held February 15, 2010 at Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church officated by the Rev. Rudy and Tim Theissan.  Burial was in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery. Homer L. Couch, 93, of DeSoto passed away February 11, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Couch worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad.  Born April 13, 1916 in Ware, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Mary A. (Coleman) Couch.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae G. (Miller) Couch. He is survived by seven sons: Winthie Couch of Fredericktown, James Couch of Caledonia, Kenneth Couch of Steelville, Gary Couch of Steelville, Homer E. Couch of Elsberry, Walter Couch of DeSoto and Royce Couch of Las Vegas, Nevada; four daughters: Marilyn Chandler of Barnhart, Margaret Ann Howell of Elbserry, Nancy McCutchen of DeSoto and Robin Ramsey of DeSoto; 31 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by four brothers: Lester Couch, Ralph Couch, William Couch and Raymond Couch; and two sisters: Rosa Moss and Sylvia Couch. Funeral services were held February 15, 2010 at Mahn Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Bruce Tegg.  Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery in Dittmer.  Memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation or the Railroad Association.  Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto.

Roxanna Lynn Dennis, 51, of Park Hills, Missouri passed away Feburary 11, 2010 at Parkland Health Center at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri.  She was born in Festus, Missouri November 20, 1958 the daughter of Norma Ruth (nee Waters) Burley of Festus and the late Carl Leroy Burley.  In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Andy Dennis of Park Hills, daughter Jamie Dennis of Bismarck, Missouri and son Anthony Dennis of Bismarck, a granddaughter Allison Dennis, sister Brenda (the late Steven) Moszczenski of Festus, three brothers Karl W. Burley of Festus, Barry (Tammy) Burley of DeSoto, Timothy (Tracy) Burley of Bonne Terre, Missouri, mother-in-law Betty Dennis and father-in-law Charles Dennis of Festus. Rosa Marie Moss, age 91, of DeSoto, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at The Villas Nursing Center in DeSoto.  She was born in Ware, Missouri August 26, 1918 the daughter of the late Mary Annie (nee Coleman) and Walter Jeff Couch.  Also preceding her in death was husband Orin Moss, two brothers Lester Lee (the late Mickey) Couch, William Walter (the late Betty) Couch and a sister-in-law Mae Couch. She is survived by a brother Homer Leo Couch of DeSoto, two nieces Marilyn Chandler of Barnhart and Robin (fiance’ Bob Johnson) Ramsey of DeSoto. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church, Festus, Missouri.  Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Joyce D. Baker, 78, of DeSoto, passed away at Jefferson Regional Medical Center on Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was a retired machine operator at Tension Envelope. She enjoyed watching TV, spending time with her family and loved her 2 pug dogs.  Born December 30, 1931, in Dubuque, Iowa to the late Harold and Letha (Lyons) Duggan. She is survived by her loving husband: Ivan Baker, son: Richard Nelson of DeSoto, MO, daughter: Kathy Kemp of Pittsburg, CA, brothers: Carl Duggan of Cedar Rapids, IA and Richard Duggan of Hanover, IL, sister: Pat Winger of Dubuque, IA, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  Deacon Ed Boyer officiated the service on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at  1:00pm at Mahn Funeral Home DeSoto Chapel.  The family would like donations to go to St. Rose Of Lima Adopt An Angel Program.

"Buck" Richards and Mary Louise (nee Smith) Edwards.  She died on February 13, 2010 in De Soto at the age of 53. She is survived by her son James (Trisha) Short of Hillsboro, MO; four grandchildren: Haylee Melissa Short, Nicholas Ray Short, Reagan August-Christine Short, and James Elwood Short; one sister Mary Rose (Dan) Nieman of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a niece Nanette Prather-Fletcher; a nephew Brandon Courtois; great nieces: Shayla Courtois, Savana Prather-Fletcher, Ashley Prather-Fletcher, and Heather Prather-Fletcher; great nephews: Tyler Courtois and Logan Courtois; her step mother, Roseanne Richards of De Soto, MO; step siblings: Ricky Coleman, Mary Jane Price, Ed (Stephanie) Coleman, Carmen (John) Litton, and Kathy (Bill) Thompson;  and step nieces and nephews and step great nieces and  nephews. Lois Gertrude Kiss, age 85, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her residence.  She was born in Herculaneum August 9, 1924 the daughter of the late Mary (nee Cunningham) and Frank Litton.  She is survived by her daughter Shirley DeGeare and husband Tom of Arnold, Missouri and son Bruce Dickey of Pevely, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Kiss, a son Gary Dickey, sisters Leona “Sis” Kelpe, Ann (the late Clifford) Rittenberry, Geraldine (the late Frank) Simpson, Marge Mills and Thelma “Dane” Farrell, brothers Willie “Red” (the late Ruby) Litton, Edward (the late Irene) Litton and Roy (the late Florence) Litton. She was a retired maintenance worker at Carter Carburetor in St. Louis, Missouri, member of United Auto Workers and a member of the Herculaneum-Pevely Baptist Church. Private family services conducted at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely with interment in Herculaneum Cemetery, Herculaneum, Missouri.  Memorials preferred to Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital in St. Louis.

Hilda Johnson-Tharp, age 70, of Arnold, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. Anthony’s de Greeff Hospice House in South St. Louis County, Missouri.  She was born in Festus, Missouri December 13, 1939 the daughter of the late Trula A. (nee Wray) and Wilber Lee Ferguson.  She is survived by her husband Michael K. Tharp of Arnold, Missouri, daughter Tileta (Rev., Dr. Howell) Burkhead of Houston, Missouri, son Lee E. Johnson of Forrest City, Arkansas, brother Rev. Wilbur E. “Menk” (Valene) Ferguson of Festus, sisters Ovela “Sissy” Ferguson of Festus Charlotte (Donald) Sutton of Victoria, Texas, grandchildren Russ (Anna) Johnson, Sarah (Matt) Cox, Amy (Brandon) Abeln, Jim Burkhead, Emily (Jeremiah) Nichols and Ashley Johnson, and 6 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she was preceding in death by her first husband Rev. Roy E. Johnson, brothers LaVerne Lee Ferguson, Irvin Ferguson and Louis R. “Bob” Ferguson.  She retired from Southwestern Bell as a Senior Reports Clerk and was a member of First Baptist Church of Fenton, Missouri. Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Stephen Jesse Schaffer, age 56, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Monday, February 15, 2010 at his residence.  He was born in St. Louis June 20, 1953 the son of the late Dorothy Mae (nee Moyers) and Steve James Schaffer.  He is survived by his wife Carol (nee Hill) Schaffer, daughters Jamie (Tom) Harlow of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kelly (Vance) Bailey of St. Louis and Stephanie (Tim) Seago of St. Louis, grandsons Jonathon and Luke Harlow and Stephen Seago, brothers Mike Schaffer of Imperial, Missouri, Mark (Julie) Schaffer of Phoenix, Arizona, Paul (Kay) Schaffer of Festus, Missouri, sister Janet Northcutt of St. Louis and mother-in-law Geraldine Hill of Festus. He was a sales/electrical engineer at Fuses Unlimited (Delaware Electronics), a member of IEEE, YMCA of South County and Sigma Tau Gamma of Rolla, Missouri. Memorial Mass 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Mary Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Road, St. Louis, Missouri officiated by Deacon Richard Coffman. Alvin C. Cook died on February 16, 2010 at his residence in Festus, MO at the age of 60. He was born on December 29, 1949 in St. Louis County, MO.  He was the son of the late James Richard Cook and Virginia K. (nee Bower) Cook of De Soto, MO. He is survived by his mother Virginia Cook of De Soto, MO; three sisters, Sandra Medlock of Festus, MO; Virginia Tanner of Fredericktown, MO; Victoria Greenwell of Festus, MO; two brothers, Darrel Cook of Aurora, CO; and Freddie Cook of St. Robert, MO. Mr. Cook was a member of the Radiant Life Church of Festus.  He was also a member of VFW Post 1831. The funeral service will be at 7 PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, MO on Thursday Feb. 18, 2010.  Burial will be located at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks on Friday Feb. 19, 2010 @ 10:30 AM (cemetery time) - Family and Friends are encouraged to be at the Dietrich Funeral Home Friday @ 9 AM to follow the funeral procession to the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.

Theodore L. "Ted" Sobba died on February 16, 2010 at his residence in De Soto, MO. He  was born on December 27, 1964 in Festus, MO.  He was the son of Eugene "Gene" & Rosemary (nee Smith) Sobba.  Ted is survived by two brothers, Pete Sobba of Blackwell & Mitch (Laura) Sobba of Blackwell; and on sister, Meleah (Ray) Paddock of De Soto, MO. Bryan Paro, 52, DeSoto passed away on February 17, 2010 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital,St. Louis. Born September 2, 1957. He was the son of the late Harold and Marie (nee Hoetker) Paro. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Cory Paro.  Bryan is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (nee Hardin) Paro of DeSoto; his three daughters: Angelina Cane of Festus, Stephanie Paro of DeSoto and Emily Paro of Cedar Hill; four grandchildren: Morgan, Clayton, Logan and Carson; Special parents: Ewell and Rose Littell of Hazelwood; a sister, Tamara (Keith) Krewson, Winchester, Missouri. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, brothers & sister-in-laws.  Mr Paro was a Crew Chief Technician for Servpro of North Jefferson County in Imperial. He was a member of the St. Louis Auto Racing Club; he loved the outdoors. He loved his daughters and grandchildren.  Rev. Jeremy Muniz officiated the funeral service. Irvine Marie Marsala, age 57, of Dittmer, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her parents the late Mary (nee Maher) and Irving Crosby.  She is survived by her husband Gregory Marsala, sister Dawn (Michael W.) Robert Eugene Koester, age 83, of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born March 19, 1926 in Festus the son of the late Eulah (nee Harris) and Rosco Koester.  He is survived by a daughter Carol Ann (Bill) Parker of Texas and son Robert E. Koester, Jr. of Germany, grandchildren Bradley and Ryan Parker, sisters Virginia (Clem) Gilliam of Festus and Mary E. (the late Jacob “Dan”) Richardson of St. Louis, brother David (the late Genevieve Staley) Koester of Festus and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Alfred (the late Gloria) Koester and Raymond (Verna survives) Koester and an infant sister Rita Fay Koester. He was a retired glassworker from PPG Industries in Crystal City, Missouri and served in the Navy during WW II.  He was a member of Fairview Christian Church of Festus and held life memberships in the VFW #3777 and AmVets #42 veterans organizations. Michael William Schleeper, age 60, of Arnold, Missouri passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, St. Louis County, Missouri.  He was born February 25, 1949 in Alton, Illinois the son of the late Betty (nee Hutchinson) and Joseph Schleeper.  He is survived by his wife Elaine Joyce (nee Williams) Schleeper, sister Doris Lahay and husband Jim of Wildwood, Missouri, brother Joe Schleeper and wife Connie of  Rock Hill, Missouri, step-daughter Pamela Leutzinger and husband Mike of Bonne Terre, Missouri, 3 grandchildren Leslie Brooke Bishop, Alex Dane Leutzinger and Shelby Rae Leutzinger.  Also surviving are nieces, Stephani, Jennifer and Jessica Schleeper and nephews Joseph Schleeper, Keith and Rob Lahay. Michael was employed as an Internal Auditor with Ralston Purina in St. Louis, Missouri. A Memorial Mass to be celebrated at Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Brentwood, Missouri.  Memorials preferred to the National Kidney Foundation.

John Eugene Statzel, 73, of St. Louis, passed away on February 19, 2010 at his home. He was born March 4, 1936 in St. Louis; the son of the late Andrew John and Anna (Heaton) Statzel.  John was retired member of Graphic Communications International Union; a printer for Buxton-Skinner. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing golf.  Mr. Statzel was the father of Paul Statzel, St. Louis and David Statzel, Denver, Colorado; grandfather of Maren; brother of  RosemaryBaumstark of St. Louis.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Andy, David, and Robert Statzel and three sisters: Ruby Canepa, Mable and Betty.  The services were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home DeSoto Chapel.

Koehler, age 76, of Festus, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born September 20, 1933 in Vandalia, Illinois the son of the late Clarence Edward Koehler Sr. and Cleda (nee Strobel) Skaggs. He is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Aubuchon) Koehler, daughter Cathy (Mark) Linhorst of Festus, sisters Norma (the late George) Fenwick of Festus and Mary Lou (Oscar) Roth of Festus, step-sisters Trula M. Skaggs of Dallas, Texas and Loretta Faye (John “Buddy”) Oldham of Pevely, Missouri, step-brothers Lionel (Barbara) Skaggs of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Wayne T. (the late Eva) Skaggs of Festus and John (Janet) Skaggs of Herculaneum, grandchildren Shane (Maggie) Dixon of Overland Park, Kansas, Tara (Nathan) Swafford of Festus, Erica (Will) Folk of Desloge, Missouri and Kelsey Koehler of De Soto, Missouri. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father Wendell R. Skaggs, son Gary Koehler, brothers Clarence E. Koehler, Jr. and Bobby Dean Koehler and a grandson Jered Koehler. Harold A. McCord, Jr., 64, of DeSoto passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City. Born February 12, 1946 in Chicago Heights, Illinois; he was the son of the late Harold A. and Helen (Powers) McCord,Sr. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Ruby M. (Dunn) McCord of DeSoto.  Mr. McCord was lead man-fitter at Ben Hur Steel Worx making steel beams. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Most of all he loved spoiling his grandkids.
Mr. McCord was the dear father of: Jestina (Dennis) Denton, Helena, Montana and Christine (Terry) Lewis of Arnold, Missouri; dear grandfather of Frank and Cassandra Walker, Brittain & Matthew Ketcherside,and Nichole Welch, and dear great-grandfather of Nicholas Ketcherside. He was the dear brother of George (Jackie) McCord, Columbia, MO, Harry McCord, Collinsville, IL, Bruce (Jane) Sweetin, of Savannah, Georgia, Alvin Skinner, Toledo, Ohio and Barbara Walker of Fredericktown, Missouri. He is also survived by mother and father-in-law, Ray and Leota Dunn of DeSoto; sister-in-law, Patricia Mordis, of DeSoto, Missouri and special friends Dennis and Cindy Samnee of DeSoto and Donnie Littlefield of Festus and Dave Wills of DeSoto.   Bro. Cora Jewell Pruitt-Welch, age 79, of Venus, Texas passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas.  She was born in Campbell, Missouri December 20, 1930 the daughter of the late Bertha (nee DePew) and George Hampton Washington.   Also preceding her in death were husbands John Pruitt and John Welch, and a sister Ruby (the late Bill) Drupe.  She is survived by sons John C. Pruitt of  Provo, Utah, Glenn Patrick Pruitt of Crystal City, Missouri, daughters Patricia (Eric) Glover of Crystal City, Colleen (Ron) Smith, Washington state,  Mary Ann (Ed) Ryland of Houston, Texas, brother James (Anette) Hampton of Arlington, Texas, sister Edna (the late Dosey) Haynes, Campbell, Missouri, 22 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Pruitt-Welch was employed in the healthcare industry as a certified Nurses Aide. Wendell P. Humphres, 69, of Valles Mines, passed away on February 27, 2010 at his home. Born October 9, 1940 in Vina, Alabama; the son of the late Cleve and Nettie (Hamn) Humphres. He is survived by his loving wife, Jetta (Harris) Humphres.  Wendell was a mold maker for Saint-Go-Bin Containers. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union, and President of the Flint Workers Union. He loved working on cars.  Mr. Humphres was the dear father of Phillip (Linda) Humphres, Hillsboro, Robert (Melissa) Humphres, DeSoto and Anthony (Brenna) Humphres of Valles Mines; dear grandfather of eleven grandchildren: Wendell, Crystal, Melissa, Robert, Erich, Ryan, Travis, Austin, Evan, Andy and Alex; dear great-grandfather of nine grandchildren: Dalton, Jacob, Makayla, Brody, Caliegh, Tyler, Layla, Samantha and Miraha; a brother Chester Humphres of Vina, AL and two sisters, Imogene Mc Clain of Birmingham, AL and Esterene Blackburn of Vina, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Arlin Humphres, Roy Humphres, R.C. Humphres and Orville Humphres and a sister, Gladys Powell.  Rev. She was also a member of the Amvets and was involved in Pony Bird and the Jefferson County Home for Exceptional Ones Co-Op. Born August 11, 1942, in Kimmswick to the late Clyde and Ehrline (Evans) Oglesby.She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Leroy Zimmerly Sr., son: Leroy Zimmerly Jr of Bonne Terre, MO, daughters: Kim Zimmerly of St Louis, MO and Linda Zimmerly of Festus, MO, special nephew: Scott Bartlett of Hillsboro, brother: Mark (Mary) Oglesby of Fenton, MO, sisters: Mary Ann(Allen) Ader of Desoto, MO and Janet (the late Homer) Ketcherside of DeSoto, MO, and grandchildren: Amanda Zimmerly of Pevely, MO and Josh and Ellie Bartlett of Hillsboro, MO. Mildred “Micki” Hagler Lane, age 100 of De Soto, Missouri; formerly of Yucaipa, CA, passed away February 28, 2010 at The Villas in De Soto, Missouri. Born November 13, 1909 in Monett, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Elisha and Blanche (nee Combs) Hagler. She worked with the Surveying Dept. at Amerada Oil Co.
