Factories. November 6, 1915 Washington County, MO. She was the daughter
of the late Charles Benjamin and Anna Margaret (Wickerham) Dickinson.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, the
late Elmer Johnson and preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. She

February 3, 1916 in Gilbertsville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Lou
Elizabeth (nee Smith) and James Davison. In addition to her parents she
is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Cadwallader and a sister
Anna Pearl Ice. She is survived by two daughters, Lou Ann McDaniel and
husband Norman of Festus, Missouri and Dixie Lee O’Shea and husband
James of Oakville, Missouri, a brother Edwin Davison and wife Mel of
Metropolis, Illinois, one sister Edith Ice of Cairo, Illinois, 3
grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and member

April 5, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was a retired
civil service employee of the United States Government. She enjoyed
reading as a hobby. Born September 9, 1950, in Granite City, Illinois to
the late Edgar and Mary (Schroeder) Edwards Sr. She is survived by her
husband of 23 years: Samuel Ragusa, a son: Charlie (Penny) Ragusa of
DeSoto, MO, grandchildren: Michael and Matt, a brother: Edgar (Mary)
Ragusa Jr of Granite City, IL, a sister: Carol Tankersley of Granite

Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired safety engineer
inspector for AA Safety Consulting Firm. He was a veteran of the United
States Marine who served his country during World War II and was a
member of the VFW Post #3777 of Festus. Born November 29, 1925, in
Sikeston, MO to the late Thomas M. and Jetty (Smith) Church. He was
preceded in death by his wife: Betty (Page) Church who passed away in
2006. He is survived by his daughters: Boydette (Tim) Shell of St Louis
and Pam (Todd) Linderer of Festus, 4 grandchildren, 3 great
grandchildren, a brother: Bucky Church of St Louis, sisters: Maybelle,

the late Lula Esther (nee Crafton) and James Herman Jones. In addition
to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Daris August
Bone, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by a daughter Debra
Chotrow, sons Dennis and Lennis Bone all of Festus, five grandchildren
Leslie Wilkins, David Bone, Ronnie Chotrow, Barbara Bostain, Roxanne
Lynn Bone and 4 great-granddaughters. She was a member of the Ladies

residence. He was a retired crane operator for St Louis Ship Yards. He
was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He loved farming with his
son and family, liked being the "boss" and enjoyed his family. Born
April 29, 1932, in Festus, MO to the late Bernard and Stella (Bauman)
DeRousse. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Lena M. (Medley)

April 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1921 in Coffee
County, Alabama the son of the late Viola (nee Matoose) and Ideal Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Courtney) Allen.
They were married June 4, 1945 in Titusville, Florida. He is also
survived by a daughter Judith Myers and husband Gary of Crystal City,
Missouri, sons Billy Allen and wife Cheryl of Holts Summit, Missouri,
James Earl Allen and wife Mary of Festus, 8 grandchildren, 23
great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is preceded

95, of O’Fallon entered into rest on April 14, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Suitor was a teacher at Washington County and St. Louis City
schools. She was a World
War II volunteer with the Red Cross and was a member of St. Stephen’s
Catholic Church. Born December 15, 1915, in Haverhill, Massachusetts,
she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Lischuk) Bondurick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert A
Suiter. She is survived by one son, Fred (Barbara) Suiter of Definance;
three daughters: Judy Fitzmaurice of O’Fallon, Kathy (Lou) Delatine of
Millstadt, Illinois and Sharon (Tom) Renz of Wentzville; one brother,
Walter (Marie) Bondurick of Ballwin; eight grandchildren; and 15
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lena
Horton. Funeral services were held April 18 at St. Stephen’s Catholic
Church, officiated by the Rev. Robert Liss.
Burial was in the St. Stephens Cemetery.

Mrs. McCartney was a cafeteria worker with the Parkway School

Pearl (Wilson) Harrison. She is survived by four sons: Robert (Donna)
McCartney of De Soto, Terry Lee (Holly) McCartney of Arnold,
Patrick*(Tammy) McCartney of House Springs and Mark A, (Jean) McCartney
of De Soto; one daughter, Jill (John) Westermayer of Oakville; 18
grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were

Mr. Crites was a machinist at Owens-Brockway and a member of
Faith Baptist a machinist at Owens-Brockway and a member of Faith
Baptist Church in Festus, Born December 1, 1942 in Delta, he was the son
of the late Albert and Ruth (Roe) Crites. He is survived by his wife of
47 years, Judy (Cline) Crites of Festus; one son, Matt (Melissa) Crites
of Fenton; one daughter, Lisa Crites of Festus; three brothers: Earl
(Rosemary) Crites of Wentzville, Joe (Joy) Crites of Fayette and Richard
(Gloria) Crites of Washington; two sisters: Verna Mae (Paul) Ringwald of
Jackson and Shelby Jean (Wayne) Belcher of Greenville, Illinois and
three grandchildren: Morgan, Marley and Xander.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Roy Crites and Mary

She was born March 8, 1936, in Trenton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Bertha Lue (nee Beatty) and Carroll Whitfield “Jack” Henson. She is survived by her husband Harlin Jones Love, daughters Karen Ann Love of DeSoto, Missouri, and Janie Blum of Festus, Missouri, grandchildren Michael Alexander Heidy, John Paul Heidy, Timothy Seth Blum and Mollie Jane Blum, great-grandchildren Penelope Sophia Heidy and Nicholas Alexander Heidy, sisters Ila Chamberlain of Louisiana and Nell Kennedy of Viburnum, Missouri, a brother Frank Henson of Farmington, Missouri, and special nephews, nieces, and long-time friends. In years past she enjoyed square dancing, water skiing, playing volleyball, and RV camping with her family and fellow retirees. Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Center in Crystal City, Missouri. She was
born March 14, 1918 in Deer Park, Missouri the daughter of the late
Tennie (nee Adkins) and Frank Lyle. She was the oldest of 4 siblings.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of
53 years Robert Ravenscraft, married May 10, 1940. Also a sister Betty
Parker, and brother Bernard Lyle. She is survived by a daughter Carolyn
Blackwell of Festus, Missouri sons Ronald Ravenscraft and wife Ellen of
Festus and Daniel Ravenscraft of Herculaneum, a sister Ramona Eason of
Stoughton, Wisconsin, granddaughters Mary Kelley and husband Dan of St.
Peters, Missouri and Julia Ravenscraft of Festus, and a grandson Michael
Ravenscraft of Kirkwood, Missouri. She was an avid bowler her whole
life. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks
with her close group of friends. She also enjoyed cooking and spending

his daughter’s residence near Festus, Missouri. He was born July 24,
1933 in Plattin, Missouri, near Festus, the son of the late Selma (nee
Miller) and Gilbert S. Smetzer. Also preceding him in death was his
wife Edna Theresa (nee Cartee) Smetzer and a son Scott Smetzer. He is

Norman F. Bequette,
age 84, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at
Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Center in Crystal City, Missouri. He was
born May 22, 1926 in Festus, the son of the late Adeline Estelle (nee
Canepa) and Louis L. Bequette. He is survived by his wife Dorothy L.
(nee Jokerst) Bequette, sons Eric Bequette of Festus and David Bequette
and fiance’ Nancy Chacon of Springdale, Arkansas, brothers L. Raymond
Bequette of Festus and Robert Bequette and wife Jolene of Evansville,
Indiana, and a sister Mildred Kelley of Kirkwood, Missouri. In addition
to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister-in-law Henrietta
Bequette and brother-in-law Paul Kelley. He was a retired elementary
school teacher having taught at Festus Elementary from 1950 to 1953 and
in the St. Louis Public School District at Woodward Elementary from 1954
until his retirement in 1988. He was a Navy veteran of WW II serving in
the Pacific theatre, a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City,
Knights of Columbus council #1230 and the Missouri State Teachers
Association. Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus from 3:00 P.M.
to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 28, 2011. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. Friday,
April 29, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church, officiated by Fr. Joseph Wormek.

Paul F. Wilhelm, 73, of Fenton entered into rest April 23, 2011 at St Clare Health Care, Fenton. Born Dec 11, 1937, in Henderson, KY, to the late Walter and Augusta (Wolf) Wilhelm. Survived by wife, Ellen (Carron) Wilhelm; son, Bryan (Lisa) Schumacher; daughters: Anna (Alan) Wilhelm-Thompson, Kathrina Patrick, Carrie (Brian Casanover) Wilhelm and Kelly Schumacher; and 7 grandchildren. Funeral service was Thurs, April 28, 2011 at Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus. Interment was in Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery, Festus.

Anna Ruth Jones, age 68 of Festus, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born March 30, 1943 in Desloge, Missouri the daughter of the late Ruth Lillian (nee McFarland) and Willard McNelly. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Orville E. Jones, Jr. She is survived by sons Thomas E. “Butch” Jones and wife Sharon of Festus, Justin A. Jones and wife Kristin of Tennessee, a daughter Diane Carpenter and husband Scott of Springfield, Missouri, two brothers Don McNelly and wife Carmen of Maryville, Tennessee and Tom McNelly and wife Connie of Lewisville, Texas, grandchildren Chelsea Gatewood and husband Eric, Jensen Jones, Trace Jones, Dillon Johnson, Abriella Jones and one great-grandson Camden Gatewood. Rick David Portell,
age 58 of Festus, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his
residence. He was born February 1, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri the son
of the late Grace Marie (nee Cook) and George Aloysius Portell. He is
survived by his wife of thirty-seven years Marilyn (nee Frazier) Portell,
a son Nathan Portell and wife Meaghan of Festus, a daughter Nicole
Caldwell and husband Rob of St. Peters, Missouri, two brothers George M.
“Ike” Portell of Lake Clearwater, Missouri, Gary Portell and wife Becky
of Texas, a sister JoAnn Johnston and husband Leroy of Bonne Terre,
Missouri and two granddaughters, Chloe and Charlotte Caldwell. He was a
supervisor for Baldor - ABB Electric in St. Louis County for

age 73, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away April 26, 2011 at his esidence
in De Soto, MO. He was a Butcher; Meat Cutter for Koch’s Market, Queens

Missouri, he was the son of the late Clarence Kailen and Mary Katherine

Lorraine L. “Dutch” Rolwes,
age 80, of French Village, Missouri and Okeechobee, Florida, passed away
Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Hammick Hospice House in Okeechobee.
She was born May 18, 1930 in DeSoto, Missouri the daughter of the
late Ethel (nee Sickman) and John Eckman. She is survived by her husband
Henry “Hank” Rolwes, sons Mike (Paula) Lucas of Ballwin, Missouri, Rick
Lucas of Pevely, Missouri, Larry Lucas of Pevely and Donnie Lucas of
Park Hills, Missouri, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother
Andrew Eckman, sisters Virginia Prather and Eileen Nixon, and a grandson
Matthew Lucas. She was a retired welder from White-Rodgers assembly
plant in South St. Louis County and a member of the Goose Creek Baptist

William Carl “Bill” Stauss, Jr.,
of Festus, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at St. Luke’s
Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri.
He was born July 24, 1931 in Festus, the son of the late Nora B.
(nee Cady) and William C. Stauss, Sr.
Also preceding him in death was his wife Martha (nee Dill)
Stauss, a brother Albert O. Stauss and the late wife Katherine A., and
sisters Jeanette Brooks and the late husband Bill and Margaret C.
Stauss. He is survived by his son Andrew “Andy” Stauss of Festus and
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He served in the U.S. Air Force in
the Korean War, was a retired lineman for Union Electric and deacon of
Selma American Baptist Church, Festus. Visitation at Vinyard Funeral
Home, Festus, 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2011, then at
Selma American Baptist Church, Festus, after 9:00 A.M. Saturday, April
