Ipock, age 62, of Festus, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 1, 2010 at his residence.  He was born April 19, 1948 in Eminence, Missouri.  He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Rosener) Ipock, mother Betty Jean (nee Hunt) Ipock of Festus, daughters Lisa M. Inman and husband Richard of DeSoto, Missouri, Christy Lynn Ipock-Messmer and husband Jeffrey of Festus, Dawn LaRue of Jackson, Missouri, son Clinton LaRue of SanDiego, California, grandchildren Lindsey Inman, Ana Messmer, Justin Messmer, Lilly Birk, brothers Jerry Ipock and wife Joy of Festus and Gary Ipock and wife Christine of Crystal City, Missouri.  He was preceded in death by his father Willis F. Ipock. He was a retired Boilermaker with Nooter Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri, member of Boilermakers Local #27, VFW #3777 and the Mississippi River Eagles.Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2010 with funeral services 1:00 P.M. LaVern Saputo, age 83, of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her residence.  She was born December 7, 1927 in Greene County, Arkansas the daughter of the late Edna (nee Creason) and Harold Wright.  Also preceding her in death was husband Joseph L. Saputo, Sr., son-in-law Steve Montgomery, one sister and two brothers. She is survived by daughters Angela “Angie” Montgomery of Festus, Missouri, Theresa Chotrow and husband David of Perryville, Missouri, Marilyn LaRose and husband Laddie of High Ridge, Missouri and Carolyn Vest of Festus, son Joseph L. Saputo, Jr. and wife Patricia of Stafford, Virginia, sister Opal Johnston of DeSoto, Missouri, brother Glen Wright, grandchildren Lisa McKay, Ashley Boley and husband Brian, Caitlin Montgomery, David Chotrow Jr., Vernon Chotrow and wife Mandy, Albert Carbo and eight great-grandchildren. She was a retired nurses’ Aide from Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Missouri. Kathy Ann Risenhoover, 57 of DeSoto, entered into rest on January 2, 2011 in St. Louis University Hospital. Kathy was a claims supervisor for Wal Mart in Festus; she enjoyed watching tv - crime movies; playing computer game - Benton Squiggley. She was born January 1, 1954 in St. Louis; she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lena (Elmore) Swearingen. Mrs. Risenhoover is survived by her loving husband, Randel E. Risenhoover of DeSoto. She was the mother of Randel Risenhoover, II , of Festus and Julie (Travis) Noack, of Hillsboro; a grandmother of four grandchildren; she was the sister of Harold "Bud" (Doris) Swearingen, of O'Fallon, Il, Gloria (Tom) McQuiggan, of Cuba, MO, Karen McCoy, of Grey Summit, MO, Donna (Keith) Johns, of Salem, MO and Tammy (Randy) Carpenter, of Grey Summit, MO. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Craig Risenhoover, a brother, William Swearingen, and a sister Geraldine Swearingen. Rev. Gene Moses will be officiating the memorial service.

Alfred Lum Oliver, 81, entered into rest Jan 3, 2011 at his Festus residence. Born April 9, 1929, in Arkansas, to the late James & Lillie Lee (Latham) Oliver. He was a retired truck driver for Consolidated Freight and was a US Army veteran who served in Korea. He is survived by his wife, Lawanda (Mills) Oliver; sons: Roger (Linda) Oliver, James "Rick" (Debbie) Oliver & Kevin (Tammy) Oliver; daughter, Vicki (Ervie) Brown; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was a Social Worker for Jefferson County Developmental Disablities Resource Board. Born September 10, 1952 in Ypsilanti, MI, she was the daughter of the late Earl Walter and Joanne Rita (Glenn) McConchie. She is survived by her husband Don Hetherington, Festus, MO, (preceded in death by one brother, Andrew McConchie). Karen R. (Orr) Striler, 58, of Bonne Terre, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker,a former employee at Baisch Nursing Home, and a past member of the First Responders Community Rescue at Lake Timberline. She was born June 11, 1952, in St Louis to the late Don and Violet Orr. She is married to Dennis Striler and is survived by her daughter: Brandy Striler of Desloge, MO; sons: Tony (Rachel) Ellis of Illinois, and Brock Striler of Bonne Terre,MO; sisters: Lana (Dave) Diggs of Bellflower, MO, Gail (Jim) Sikes of Pilot Knob,MO, Violet Morland of Highland, IL, Donna Cassler of St Louis, MO, Marie Rohr of Florissant, MO and 5 grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she is preceded in death by her brother: Donis Orr and a sister: Anita Tate. Gene H. Olson, age 83, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born August 8, 1927 in Ludell, Kansas, he was the son of the late Bertha and Amos A. Olson. He is survived by his wife Maybelle H. (nee Roesch) Olson, daughter Debbie Strauss of Imperial, sons Gene Gary Olson and wife Patricia, Michael Olson and Bruce Olson all of Hillsboro, grandchildren Sarah Strauss, twins Jennifer and Jessica Olson, Jeffrey Olson and wife Erin and Rebecca Olson, and a brother Hank Olson and wife Mack from Atwood, Kansas.  He was preceded in death by brothers Fran and Donald Olson. He was a retired supervisor from Chemtec in Sauget, Illinois and served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. Private family services.

Yvonne “Shelby” LaBrayere, age 73 of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Hillcrest Care Center, DeSoto, Missouri.  She was born June 8, 1937 in Crystal City, Missouri the daughter of Georgia Ann (nee Carr) Courtois of Crystal City, Missouri and the late Joseph M. “Blackie” Courtois.  In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a daughter Sheryle Lynn (Chris survives) Thuesen and a brother Larry Courtois. She is survived by her husband Francis “Sonny” LaBrayere, sons Michael and Robert LaBrayere of Festus and David LaBrayere of Crystal City, a sister Linda (John) Ramey of Festus, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith. Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Steven D. Young, of Barnhart, entered into rest on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born on September 22, 1961, in Dexter, MO, to Donald and Dorothy ( Davison) Young of Hillsboro. In addition to his parents, he is survived by other loving family members to include: grandparents, Aaron Davison of DeSoto and Thelma Young of DeSoto; brothers: Mike (Heather) Young of Hillsboro, Dave (Donna) Young of DeSoto, and Chris (Wendy) Young of DeSoto; sisters: Sheila Poncet of DeSoto and Samantha Young of Hillsboro; nieces: Jessica, Julie, Nicole, and Emily; and nephews: Ashley, Jared, Jacob and Shawn. Steven was employed as a salesman for a Lumber Company in Oklahoma City, but has remained in the Barnhart area for the last 18 years where he enjoyed hunting and the great outdoors. Charles A. Brown, 78, of DeSoto entered into rest on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City. He was born to the late Benjamin F. and Lina (Kato) Brown in Advance, Missouri on October 21, 1932. He married his true love, Pansy (Williams) on December 30, 1952 in Marston, Missouri. He leaves behind his wife and children: sons: Charles J. (Terrie) Brown of DeSoto, Danny (Sandy) Brown of Hillsboro; daughters: Mary Ann (David) Wofford of Broken Arrow, OK, Charlene Brown of DeSoto; brother, Eugene (Beulah) Brown of Jerseyville, IL; sisters: Norma Felty of Chaffee, MO and Shirley (William) Wood of Fenton, MO; grandchildren: Matthew, Nichole, Adam, Michael, Sarah, Jason and Joel; great-grandchildren: Peyton, Madison, William, Nicholas, Landan, Blake, Lacey, and Teagan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Willard, Clarence, Harold, and Milford Brown; sisters: Mildred White, Arvella Smith, Pauline Brown; and three great-grandchildren: Colton Brown, Garret Brown and Deven Brown. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War and then worked as a Foreman for Crunden-Martin Manufacturing until he retired. She was retired from Double Day Bookstore in St. Louis, MO; also worked for the National Sunday School Office of the Southern Baptist Convention. Born September 2, 1911 in De Soto, MO, she was the daughter of the late Chester H. & Sadie C. (nee Sansoucie) Kite. She was a member of the First Baptist Church – De Soto, where she taught Sunday School for 60 Years. Douglas Michael “Doug” Picarella, age 41 of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at his residence.  He was born March 4, 1969 in Crystal City, Missouri the son of Diana (nee Samnee) and Anthony “Tony” Picarella, III of DeSoto, Missouri. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Dina (nee Tipton) Picarella and daughters Taylor and Emily Picarella of Crystal City, a sister Tanya Schumer of Pevely, Missouri, grandfather Tony Picarella, Jr. of Crystal City and mother-in-law Diana Tipton of Crystal City and numerous extended family members. He is preceded in death by grandparents Carmella Picarella and Lucille and Edwin Samnee. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (nee Dill) Visnovske and three brothers, James “Joe” (Karen) Visnovske of Festus, Fred “Fritz” (Debbie) Visnovske of Crystal City and William (Marylee) Visnovske of French Village, Missouri. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, was an EMT with the Joachim Plattin Ambulance District, a member of Sacred Heart Church of Crystal City, Knights of Columbus Council #1230, VFW Post #3777 and the AMVETS. Summers.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Virgil Summers, a sister Bernice (the late Dwayne) Robinson and a son-in-law Jeffrey Spooner. He is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Kluge) Summers of Festus, daughters Pamela Spooner of Rolla, Missouri and Tracy (Mark) Sullivan of Mehlville, Missouri, sons Eugene Chester (Heidi) Summers, Jr. of Forest Hill, Maryland, Thomas Summers of Festus and Maurice (Sandy) Summers of High Ridge, Missouri.  He is also survived by a brother Richard (Martha) Summers of Crestwood, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, Kate, Emily and Ellen Spooner, Jason, Nicholas and Holly Winters, Zachary Summers, Jacob, Clarissa and Mackenzie Sullivan, Madison Summers and one great-grandson Nathan Winters, sisters-in-law Joyce Summers and Marion Kluge and a brother-in-law Paul Kluge. Edward L. Flynn, age 63 of Festus, Missouri passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was born August 28, 1947 in Festus, the son of the late Timothy Edward and Evelyn M. (nee Bourisaw) Flynn. He is survived by his wife Becky (nee Engelhardt) Flynn, daughter Amanda Flynn of Festus, sister Carolyn Marie Bairett of Sauget, Illinois, sister-in-laws Michelle Engelhardt, Linda Clemens, nephew and Niece Richie and Rio Clemens, mother-in-law Millie (nee Mack) Engelhardt and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Earl Bairett and father-in-law Lawrence Engelhardt. Thuesen.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, John “Norval” Thuesen. He is survived by his wife Rita (nee Ganahl) Thuesen of Crystal City. Mr. Thuesen was the owner/operator of the Lloyd N. Thuesen Insurance Agency in Festus, Missouri, member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City where he was one of the first Lay Ministers and Past President of the Parish Council, Past President of the Twin City Chamber of Commerce, member of VFW Post #3777, Elks Lodge #1721, Knights of Columbus #1230.  He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Philippines and New Guinea where he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars. Jeanette G. St. John, 75, of Hillsboro passed away January  27, 2011, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County.   Mrs. St. John was a mail clerk with Safeco Insurance and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  Born December 4, 1935, in Washington, MO.; she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Leola (Eckelkamp) Swoboda.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick E. St. John. She is survived by six sons: Kevin (Penny) St. John of Hillsboro, Mark St. John of Imperial, Gary St. John of Hillsboro, Patrick St. John, Jr. of Hillsboro, Darryl (Michelle) St. John of Imperial and Daniel St. John of Hillsboro; one daughter, Cheryl (Henry) McGauly of Imperial; five brothers; two sisters; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son, Edward St. John and one brother. Funeral services were held February 1, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev.
