Sherry Lynn Loges,
age 55, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at her
residence. She was born
August 2, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Shirley
Marie (nee Damron) Boyer. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in
death by her husband Roy Loges and step-father James W. Boyer. She is
survived by her fiance’ Al Aboussie, a daughter Rachel Puckett and
husband Eric of St. Charles, Missouri, a son Benjamin Loges of Festus, a
granddaughter Dakota Puckett, a grandson Everett Puckett and her
adoptive father George Hawk of Festus. A memorial service will be held
at her church, Twin City Church of Christ, Festus, 1:00 P.M. Friday, May
6, 2011 with Pastor Alan Amos officiating.

25, 1944, in St Louis, MO, to the late John and Elsie (Bina) Forster.
She is survived by sons: Jeff Horton and John (Anita) Forster; and
daughter, Tina Horton; and grandchildren: Heather and Jeremiah. Funeral

Marie A Gash, 62, of DeSoto
passed away on May 3, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was
born October 8, 1943; she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and
Irene (nee Pavlik) Vallo. She was married to her loving husband, Lee A.
Gash, Jr. on July 19, 1969. Marie was a assistant administrator for Wal
Greens and Infusion in Fenton. She was a member of the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Festus and she enjoyed camping. Family members
surviving are her husband; a son, Lee Gash, III, of St. Louis;
daughters: Lisa Gash and Melissa Gash, both of DeSoto; mother-in-law,
Dorothy Gash of St. Louis; three brothers: Lawrence (Edie) Vallo of
Florissant, Gregory (Mary) Vallo of Imperial and Anthony (Mary) Vallo of
DeSoto; two sisters: Kathleen (William "Butch" ) Myers of Hillsboro and
Rita (Dave) Hansen of Festus; a sister & brother-in-law, Kathleen and
Michael Tracey of Crestwood. Mrs. Gash was preceded in death by her
parents and a brother, Dennis Vallo. Father Alex Anderson will officiate
the funeral service. Memorial Gathering: Friday, May 6, 2011. Time:

Vivian L. Green, 67, of
DeSoto entered into rest on May 3, 2011 at her residence. Born on
September 17, 1943 in Greenbriar, Missouri; she was the daughter of the
late Linus and Christine (nee Storz) Green. Vivian was a machine
operator for the DeSoto Shoe Factory for over 20 plus years. She enjoyed
collecting porcelain dolls, an Elvis fan, she never met a stranger and
loved the Lord. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in
DeSoto. Mrs. Green is survived by five brothers: Eldon (Betty) Green,
St. Louis County, Junior Green of DeSoto, Randy (Anna) Green of High
Ridge, Dennis Green of Imperial and Richard (Kathy) Green of Pevely;
four sisters: Loretta (R.B.) Thorn of Lilbourn,MO, Janette (Willard)
Creason, of St. Charles, Geraldine (Donald) Strange of DeSoto and Brenda
Green of St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, a
sister-in-law, Annie Green, two brothers, Burette Green and Theodore
Green and a sister, Charlotte Warner. Rev. Donald Golden will be
officiating the funeral ceremony.

Betty L. Obermeyer, 80,
formerly of DeSoto passed away on May 3, 2011 at Jefferson Regional
Medical Center. She was born on January 29, 1931 in Herculaneum, to the
late Roy and Ercel (nee Faulkner) Derickson. She was preceded in death
by her huband, Fred Obermeyer. Betty was a homemaker and had worked for
Brown Shoe Company, Junction Market and DeSoto IGA. She loved dancing,
traveling, cooking and reading. Survived by two sons: Dusty
(Gail)Obermeyer of Festus and Michael (Lynne) Obermeyer of Charlotte,
NC; a daughter, Bambi (Gary) Haverstick of DeSoto; seven grandchildren:
Duston, Jeff, Anthony, Travis, Scott, Josh and Angela; and five
great-grandchildren: Jillian, Abby Jo, Alekzander, Mitchell and Faith.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband and a brother, Dubart
Derickson and two sisters, Kathleen Rasch and Carmel Scibetta. Reverend
Jim Owens will be officiating the funeral service.

Leslie D. Falk, 71, of De Soto passed away May 5,
2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City.
Mr. Falk was a professor at Jefferson College for 31 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the De Soto
Elks and the Moose Lodge in Anna Maria Island, Florida.
Born December 19, 1939 in Iowa; he was the son of the late Leslie
R. and Matilda (Herkson) Falk. He is survived by his wife of 47 years,
Margaret “Maggie” Falk of De Soto; two sons: Kirk L. Falk of Hillsboro
and Mitchel J. (Kathleen) Falk of Virginia; four grandchildren; Tyler
Falk, James Falk, Madyson Falk and Tori Drinnin; and a sister-in-law,
Margaret Fishbeck of St. Louis. Visitation from 4pm to 6pm, Saturday,
May 14, 2011 at Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto with service at 6 pm . Burial
is in Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum.

age 75 of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at
Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City, Missouri.
She was born November 15, 1935 in Russellville, Alabama the
daughter of the late Gladys (nee McBride) and Udell Dickens.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her
husband Guy Nester Swiger, a son Mark Pippins and a brother Buddy
Dickens. She is survived by a son Robert Dale Pippins of Festus,
daughters Cynthia Soudauplous and husband Steve of Illinois, Debra Files
and husband Bill of Festus and Carla Hill of California.
She is also survived by a sister Katie Davis of Georgia, two
sister-in-laws, Dwanice Dickens of Florida and Jane Bollinger and
husband Gerald, 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. Graveside

Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.
She was born January 21, 1921 in Plattin, Missouri, the daughter
of the late Emma C. (nee Vineyard) and Amos A. Geiler, Sr.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her
husband Wm. Benjamin Drury, Jr., a brother Amos Geiler, Jr. and a
grandson-in-law Kevin Lay. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Lou
Pribble and husband Donald of Midlothian, Texas, and Judith Ann Smith
and husband George of Toronto, Canada, 4 sons, Wm. J. “Bill” Drury and
wife Becci of Festus, James R. Drury and wife Donna M. of Bloomsdale,

Miner) and Arch Dement. He is survived by his wife Wanda (nee Howard)
Dement, a daughter Wanda “Wendy” Greenlee and husband Tim of Festus, a
son Brian Dement and fiancée Jamie Russell of Herculaneum, Missouri, a
sister Mary Jo Pouge of St. Louis and four grandchildren, T.J. and
Danielle Greenlee and Joshua and Jacob Dement. He was a veteran of the
United States Army and a sheet metal worker for Brasch Manufacturing.

retired store room clerk for Anheuser Busch, was a United States Army
veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #253 and the
Festus/Crystal City Elks Lodge #1721.He enjoyed fishing and boating.
Born June 26, 1944, in St Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late
Virginia (Nance) and Phillip Doll Jr. He is survived by his loving wife
of 47 years: Constance "Connie" (Wright) Doll of DeSoto, MO, a son: Dion
Doll of Festus, MO, a daughter: Christine (Fred) Rauch of Brentwood, MO,
two grandchildren: Zach and Jessica Rauch, a brother: Phillip (Suzy)

Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born July 8, 1953 in Bloomfield, Missouri, son of the late
Virginia (nee Haynie) and Alvin Finn. He is survived by his wife Cherie
(nee Woods) Finn, a son Jacob Finn and wife Erin of St. Peters,
Missouri, daughters Kathleen and Victoria Finn of DeSoto, brothers James
Alvin Finn and wife Michelle of Elsinore, Missouri, Ron Finn and wife
Janet of Marble Hill, Missouri, a sister Jeanne Handley and husband
Kevin of New Johnsonville, Tennessee and one grandson, Jackson Finn. He
was a member of the Missouri Highway Patrol with Troop “C” for 26 years
and was deputized as a Federal Marshall.

a sister Eunice Shepherd. She is survived by sons Robert Staley and wife

Harold "Richie" Skiles, Jr,
39, Imperial passed away on May 19, 2011 in DeSoto, Missouri. Born April
18, 1972 in St. Louis, MO; he was the son of Harold Skiles, Sr., DeSoto
and the late Vada (nee Houston) Skiles. Richie is survived by his wife,
Deanna (nee Tindall) of Imperial, MO. Mr. Skiles was a self-employed
welder. He enjoyed fishing and watching his daughters softball games.
Along with his wife and father, Richie is survived by a son, Jonathan
Simpson of Arnold, two daughters, Bethany Tindall of Fenton and Emily
Skiles of Imperial; his grandmother, Hattie Houston of DeSoto, and
father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ronald & Nancy Tindall of Imperial.

St. Anthony’s deGreeff Hospice House in St. Louis Co., Missouri.
She was born October 13, 1960 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St.
Louis Co., the daughter of the late Duella (nee Pfaff) and Arthur Grass.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Cook, son Scott Cook and daughter
Abby Cook, all of Hillsboro, sisters MaryAnn Williams and husband Tim of
Columbia, Missouri, Jane Griffin and husband Ron of Pevely, Missouri,
Judy Montgomery and husband Craig of Pevely, Nancy Long and husband
Harry of Bolingbrook, Illinois and Bonnie Litschgi and husband Steve of
Fenton, Missouri, brother Frank Grass and wife Patricia of Colorado
Springs, Colorado, mother and father-in-law Alethea “Lee” and Howard

Norma Edna Schuh,
age 88, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at
Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.
She was born February 11, 1923 in Crystal City, the daughter of
the late Pearl Thelma (nee Buckner) Coleman Hicks and Walter Clark
Coleman. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Norman B. Schuh,
daughters Donna Marie Olinger and husband Larry of Festus, Kathy Ann
Faver and husband Bill of Festus and Deborah Lynn Zumwalt and husband
Steve of St. Louis, Missouri, sister Carol Bond and husband William of
St. Louis, brother Maxwell A. “Corky” Hicks and wife Penny of Crystal
City, grandchildren Gary and Matt Olinger, Brandon and Allison Zumwalt
and Jason Faver, great-grandchildren Emily and Elizabeth Olinger. In
addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Norville
Clark Coleman. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City,
the Legion of Mary Auxiliary, and had worked locally as a seamstress for
many years. Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, 4:00 P.M. to
8:00 P.M. Wednesday.

Amanda Pauline “Mandy” Schlueter,
age 99 of Pevely, Missouri passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at her
residence. She was born
April 10, 1912 in Antonia, Missouri the daughter of the late Emma (nee
Schraer) and Henry Schlueter.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister
Marie Anna Schlueter and a brother Alfred Schlueter and his wife
Virginia. She is survived by two nephews, Bill Schlueter and wife
Shelly, Wayne Schlueter and wife Kim both of Pevely, grand nieces and
nephews, Tiffany, Trisha, Taylor and Trevor. She was a member of Zion
Lutheran Church in Pevely and worked on the Schlueter Family Farm all of
her life.Visitation Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, Pevely from 5:00
P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 27, 2011 and then at Zion Lutheran

age 83 of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Scenic
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Herculaneum, Missouri.
She was born September 16, 1927 in Chester, Illinois the daughter
of the late Florence Amelia (nee Rebbe) and Angus Edward Berry.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her
husband, Francis Stephen “Frisco” Myers, three sons Stephen B. Myers,
Andrew N. Myers, Stephen F. Myers, one grandson Sean M. Kennedy and two
brothers James Berry and William Berry. She is survived by a daughter
Joan Kennedy and husband David of Crystal City, Missouri, two grandsons
Brian C. Kennedy stationed at Colorado Springs, Colorado and Heath D.
Kennedy of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two sisters Norma Gunn of McHenry,
Illinois and Doris Kuhn Humphries and husband Patrick of Huntington
Beach, California and one brother Leland Berry of Streator, Illinois.
She was a member of Church of Our Lady, Festus, Missouri and was a
Registered Nurse for Pittsburg Plate Glass Company, Dr. Rutledge and
Jefferson Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement. Memorial Mass at
10:00 A.M., Friday, June 17, 2011 at Church of Our Lady,

Marian Helen (nee Queenan) and Joseph Wilbur Martin. He is survived by

husband Randy and Sherri Basler, two sons Charles H. Martin, Jr. and
wife Christi and James “Joe” Martin and wife Jamie, a sister JoAnn
Mangan and husband Terry and a brother Gerald Martin, all of Festus, a
sister-in-law Teddi Ann Martin of Imperial, Missouri, grandchildren
