Raymond Eugene Blaylock, age 59, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his home.  He was born May 27, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Evelyn (nee Allen) and George Blaylock. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (nee Smith) Blaylock, a daughter Amanda Garner and husband Matthew of Pevely and a son Stephen (fiance Jennifer) Blaylock of Crystal City, Missouri, brothers George E. Blaylock of Festus, Ronnie Blaylock and wife Mary of Florida and Darrell Blaylock of Pevely, sisters Sharon Pope and Donna Wilson of Festus, Missouri, three grandchildren Zoe Blaylock, Zachary and Michael White. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Festus and a foundryman with Bodine Aluminum. Visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of service 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus officiated by Rev. Ray Thomas, Pastor of Assembly of God Church.  Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Pevely, Missouri.  Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Brian D. Boley, 37, of DeSoto passed away August 1, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City.  Mr. Sloss was a self-employed auto mechanic.  Born December 16. 1906 in DeSoto.  Mr. Boley was a foundry worker for Corbitt Corporation and a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and the Knights f Columbus.  Born November 27, 1974 in St. Louis, he was the son of Mary "Sam" (Boyer) and W. David "BoBo" Boley, Jr. of DeSoto. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ashley (Vest) Boley of DeSoto; two daughters: Jacquelyn and Cheyenne Boley of DeSoto; his grandmother, Martha J. Boley of Arizona; a brother, Jeremy B. (Dawn Gotthardt) Boley of DeSoto; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Vest of Festus; and his father-in-law, Dennis (Patricia) Vest of Belleville, Illinois. Visitation was at 9am and funeral services were scheduled for Noon on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Alexander Anderson.  Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in DeSoto.  Memorials may be made to the Inheritance of Hope, PO Box 80, Piegah Farcal, NC  20768; or to the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindelll Blvd., St. Louis 63108. Torri Angelia Fitzgerald, age 42, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at her home.  She was born July 23, 1970 in Creve Coeur, Missouri, the daughter of Wandalee (nee Blunt) and Michael “Mick” Patterson of Pevely (Horine), Missouri. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband Lonnie Fitzgerald, a son Lonnie (Paige Key) Fitzgerald Jr., of Arnold, Missouri, daughters Courtney Fitzgerald of Crystal City and Amber (Clyde Hamrick) Payne of Potosi, Missouri, sisters Diana Wagner of Festus, Missouri and Susan Carter of Bloomsdale, Missouri, brother Kevin (Connie) Zimpfer of Pevely (Horine), grandchildren Noah Fitzgerald and Kylee Hamrick and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Gregory Zimpfer and a brother-in-law Robert Wagner. She is survived by daughters Stevie Moore of Festus, Missouri and Cassandra Young and husband Benjamin of Festus, brothers Randy Graves of Pevely and Mike Graves of St. Louis, Missouri and a sister Nancy Healey and husband Mike of Minnesota. Nancy Jane Delaney, age 77, of Festus, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born December 28, 1934 in Pevely, Missouri the daughter of the late Violet (nee Mabry) and Ralph Duren. She is survived by daughters Tisha (nee Delaney) Vandemore and husband Todd of Charlotte, North Carolina and Sue Navratil and husband Ron of Crystal City, a son Gary Merkle of Hollister, Missouri, brothers, Elmer and Robert Duren of Festus and Virgil Duren of Alabama, a brother-in-law Don O’Neal, grandchildren Drew, Lauren and Ross Vandemore, MaryBeth and Dean Navratil, Lee, Sean, Sarah and Aaron Merkle and Jackson Scroggins and a daughter-in-law Marilyn Merkle of St. Peters, Missouri, many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son David Merkle, sisters Roberta O’Neal, Juanita Duren and brothers Donald, Frank, George, Ray and Alvin Duren and a sister-in-law Rosa Duren. Long, age 76, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at his home.  He was born September 22, 1935 in Crystal City, Missouri the son of the late Ethel Elizabeth (nee Humphrey) and Arvie Filmore Long. He is survived by his wife Marilyn (nee Kassen) Long, sister-in-laws Shirley A. Caby and husband Richard and Marlene Schweigert and husband Bob, brother-in-laws Jim Kassen and wife Marge, John R. Kassen and wife Nancy and Joseph D. Kassen, nieces Shelley Schweigert DeBoor and husband Jim and Janet Caby McKee and husband Grant, nephews Scott Schweigert and wife Melissa and Mark Caby and wife Beth and numerous other nieces and nephews.  He was a retired inspector from the St. Louis General Motors auto plants, a member of the Church of Our Lady in Festus and the Show-Me Car Club. Abel, brothers Wilburn Lee McBay and David Wallace, and a brother-in-law Raymond Pulliam. Boyer, age 57, of Festus, Missouri passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at his home.  He was born April 8, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Birchlyn (nee Vinyard) and Leslie Everett Boyer.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Laura Janelle Boyer. He is survived by sons Ethan Boyer and wife Debbie of Westerville, Ohio, Benjamin Boyer of Westerville and Aaron Boyer of Columbus, Ohio, a daughter Anna Boyer of Bloomsdale, Missouri, brothers Timothy “Tim” Boyer and wife Beth of Galena, Missouri and Dennis Boyer of Montgomery, Alabama, sisters Janice Center and husband Jack of Spring Bluff, Missouri and Leslie Robinson and husband Rick of Terre Haute, Indiana and two grandsons Jackson and Riley Boyer. He was a pipe fitter at the Ameren Rush Island power plant and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Memorial Gathering to begin 2:00 P.M. with memorial services at 6:00 P.M. Harold "Frank" Bowyer, age 76, of Crystal City, entered into rest on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born on June 24, 1936, in Farmington, Missouri to the late Georgia (Nicholson) and Charles Bowyer. He was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda (Franklin) Bowyer. He is survived by his daughters: Wendy (Ed) Hetling of Crystal City, MO and Diana (Alan) Whitter of Hematite, MO, grandchildren: Sara Bowyer, Ashley Hetling, Eric Whitter and Carl Whitter, great grandchildren: Jesse Hetling and Tyler Hetling, and brothers: Charles Bowyer of Farmington, MO and Al (Yolanda) Bowyer of Junction City, KS. He was a retired lineman for Chrysler Corporation, was a member of First Baptist Church of Festus and enjoyed building houses with sticks and crossword puzzles. He was a former Festus fireman and was a member of the American Legion Post 253 and VFW Post 3777. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10am at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Michael Allen “Mike” Godier, age 51, of  Festus, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at his home.  He was born November 21, 1960 in Festus, the son of Robert Gene “Rally” Godier of Festus and the late Nancy Barbara (nee Pytel) Godier. In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter Amber Nicole Godier of DeSoto, Missouri, brothers Kevin R. (Christine Barry) Godier of Bloomsdale, Missouri and Curtis Godier of St. Louis, Missouri, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was a member of the Church of Our Lady, a 1979 graduate of St. Pius X High School, employed as a groundskeeper for Midland Management in South St. Louis County, Missouri, and an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan and gardener. Margaret A. “Peg” (nee Engel) Hess, of St. Louis, Missouri, entered into rest at the St. Anthony’s Fern and Russell F. de Greeff Hospice House on August 16, 2012 at age 80.  She is survived by her devoted husband, retired Circuit Judge Philip G. Hess.  Also surviving are her loving daughters, Tess Brandley, Santa Rosa, California; Cathy (Kurt) Peterson, Mill Valley, California and her loving Philip M. (Theresa Mayhew) Hess of Sunset Hills, Missouri. She was beloved grandmother of six; Ben (Siobhan) Marshall, Denver, Colorado; Carl, Mark and Paul Hess of Sunset Hills, Missouri and Lucy and Natalie Peterson of Mill Valley, California.  Also surviving is her niece, Linda Occhipinti of Raleigh, North Carolina.Peg was the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Clare Engel, and was predeceased by her sister, Marian Starke. Her courageous conflict with cancer was supported and sustained by the love and affection of family, friends and the indispensable help and care of the BJC Hospice nurses and volunteers. Peg will remain in the loving memory of all who knew her.  She was a culinary genius with her “Wizard Book” and entertained many appreciative friends and family with her delicious meals, grace and wit.  Peg loved art, music and singing which influenced her family through two generations.  Peg and Phil traveled the world and enjoyed our National Parks.  Peg loved flowers and birds, became a Master Gardner at Missouri Botanical Gardens and fed her native birds for many years.  She was a voracious reader as well. Memorials may be made to the BJC Hospice; St. Anthony’s Fern and Russell F. de Greeff Hospice House, St. Vincent Parish Food Program, or the cancer organization of your choice. Henry D. Skiles, 93 (formerly of Sunrise Lake) entered into rest at The Villa's on August 21, 2012. Mr. Skiles worked in construction and had served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Hall 119, VFW Post 1831 and the First Baptist Church of DeSoto. Born October 19, 1918 in Potosi; he was the son of the late Edward S. and Julia Anna (Hicks) Skiles. He had worked as a long shoreman and was a U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy veteran. Survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Lorna Evans; sons: Douglas Dukes of Crystal City, Richard Evans of Arizona and Robert Evans of St Louis; daughters: Charlesetta Cole of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Lorina Evans of Las Vegas, Nevada; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gregory Lawrence Head, age 49, of Kerrville, Texas, formerly of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012. He was born April 25, 1963 in St. Charles, Missouri to Ernest Lawrence Head and Yolanda (nee Calderon) Head. Gregory served in the United States Army and was an engineer employed by Vention in Kerrville. He had a passion for life and loved to ride motorcycles and to scuba dive. He was a very devoted Christian. Survivors include his parents, Ernest and Yolanda Head of St. Charles; daughters, Amber Head of Austin, Texas and Angela Avery of St. Charles; brother, Steven Head and wife, Debra of Puxico, Missouri; nephews, Michael and Joseph Head; as well as his companion, Christine Russell. Willis Allen “Red” Sansoucie, age 87, of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at his home.  He was born February 14, 1925 in Valle Mines, Missouri the son of the late Minnie (nee Courtway) and Lawrence Sansoucie. He is survived by sons Tim Sansoucie and wife Karen of Festus, Missouri and Thomas White and wife Pat of Springfield, Missouri, daughters Kathie Bunster and husband Louis of Jackson, Missouri, Barbara Drury and husband Delray of Herculaneum, Missouri and Laurie Manley and husband James of Plano, Texas,  grandchildren Kimberly Chronister and husband Andrew, Jason Garms and wife Jennifer, Jaime Sansoucie and William Sansoucie, a great-grandson Allen Jason Garms and a sister Dora Backer of Arnold, Missouri. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Antoinette (nee Naeger) Sansoucie, second wife Corinne Angeline “Nan” (nee Linderer) Sansoucie, third wife Elizabeth Ann (nee Zoellner) White-Sansoucie, sisters Rose Smith and Sadie Mae Ketchum, brothers Ernest, John and Christopher Sansoucie and a son-in-law Michael Garms. He served as an infantryman in the South Pacific with the US Army during WW II.  He was a retired educator with St. Louis County Technical School teaching auto body and other related courses.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, VFW Post #3777, the Disabled American Veterans and was a longtime volunteer with the Ozark Food Pantry. Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.  Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Fr. Joseph Wormek, Pastor.  Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City.  Memorials in his memory are preferred to the Disabled American Veterans.

William Thomas “Tom” Stafford, Sr., Age: 81, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away August 25, 2012 at de Greef Hospice House in St. Louis County, MO. He was an Automobile Carrier Truck Driver. Born August 8, 1931 in Hendrickson, Missouri, he was the Son of the late Frank Stafford and Lavada (nee Crowell) Stafford-Gragg. Charles Edward Chotrow, age 76, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born April 24, 1936 in Festus, Missouri the son of the late Rosebelle Stinnett. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara (nee Leutzinger) Chotrow, daughters Elizabeth “Jane” (Gary Dorlac) Sullivan of Festus and Rose Marie (Chuck Allison) Chotrow of Crystal City, a son Charles E. Chotrow, II, brothers Chester Chotrow and wife Debbie of Festus and Glen (the late Shirley) Chotrow of Pevely, grandchildren Chris Sullivan and wife Jennifer, Dustin Dorlac and wife Sarah and Jessica Ann-Marie Dorlac, great-grandchildren Chloe and Liam Sullivan and Dylan Dorlac. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Berlin Crisis, a small engine repair mechanic and retired from the Venture Department Store in Crystal City.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #253, the VFW Post #3777 Men’s Auxiliary and the Elks Lodge #1721 for 42 years.  After retirement he enjoyed working on small engines and became known as the “Lawn Mower Man”. Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely with services at 10:00 A.M. Cletus Everett “Clete” Thompson, age 80, of Festus, Missouri passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida where he was living with his son Cletus “Ray” Thompson.  He was born June 9, 1932 in Success, Arkansas the son of the late Jessie James (nee Carroll) and Ernest Thompson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Lillian (nee Moser) Thompson, six brothers and two sisters. He is survived by sons John R. Thompson of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Mike Thompson of St. Mary, Missouri, Steve L. Thompson of Festus, David A. Thompson of Festus, Cletus “Ray” Thompson of Orange Park, Florida, daughters Cheryl Bye and husband Charlie of Festus, Linda Tyler and husband Jack of Festus, Tammy Lewis and husband Jeff of Bloomsdale and Connie J. Ora Maxine Hansard, age 93, of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Fayetteville, Tennessee.  She was born December 24, 1918 in Des Arc, Missouri the daughter of the late Edith (nee Miller) and Elmer Lovelace. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Verlin Hansard, son-in-laws Bill Tipton and Kenneth Dees and two sisters. She is survived by a son Mark Hansard and wife Katy of Mansfield, Texas, daughters Joyce Tipton of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Gail Dees of Hillsboro, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a procurement employee at the United States government small arms plant in St. Louis, Missouri and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Festus, Missouri. Visitation 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Josette Anna (nee Perryman) Wilson, age 44 of Festus, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.She was born February 7, 1968 in Crystal City the daughter of Marvin Eugene Perryman of Frankford, Ohio and the late Susan (nee Lalumondier) Bennett. In addition to her father she is survived by her companion Dennis Gilmer, a son Randolph “RJ” (Jamie Gray) Hynes of DeSoto, Missouri, a daughter Kathryn Susan (Joshua Nannen) Hynes of Festus, a grandson Hayden J. Hynes, and sisters Kimberly (Jeremy Medley) Lucas of Herculaneum, Missouri and Samantha Blackwell of Festus. She was a dispatcher for the Festus R-6 School District. Kenneth Wayne Vanderburg, age 74, of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at his residence.  He was born February 8, 1938 in Kismet, Kansas the son of the late Virgil Cleo Vanderburg and Martha (nee Clark) Vanderburg of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by two brothers Larry Vanderburg and Glenn Vanderburg and a sister Judith Myers. He is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Cornman) Vanderburg, a son Christopher Vanderburg of Festus, brothers Kelley Vanderburg and Russell Vanderburg of  Poplar Bluff, Missouri, sisters Tammie Newman of Elsinore, Missouri and Robin Kassinger of Dexter, Missouri and many nieces and nephew.He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a retired electrician for the Chrysler Corporation and attended Second Baptist Church in Festus. Visitation 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 31, 2012 until time of service 1:00 P.M. at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, Missouri officiated by Mr. Ron Casey of Festus. Marcelena D. Patton, age 80, of DeSoto, entered into rest on Friday, August 31, 2012 at her residence. Marcelena was born to the late Cecil and Carrie (Nee McDaniel) Edgington on September 12, 1931 in Green Bay, Iowa. She worked in housekeeping for a company called Heatalator Fireplaces. She was a member of the Eastern Star, liked reading and loved flowers. Marcelena is survived by her loving family; Daughter, Dericia Ketcherside of De Soto, MO, Daughter, Debborah Patton of De Soto, MO, Daughter, Darcella {Alan} Breuer of Palmyra, MO, Brother, Harley {Donna} Edgington of Burlington, IA, Sister, Shirley Yurth of NE, Sister, Noma Kramer of IA, Sister, Crystal Joy Woodall of IA, Sister, Cheryl Joyce Duncan of MO, 8 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Earl L. Patton, Son, Daniel Patton, brothers, Cecil W. and Edsel Edgington and sisters; Betty Flatt and Wilma Smith.
