Ronald Martin Eisenbeis, age 70, of Festus, Missouri passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was born October 27, 1942 in Festus the son of the late Bertha E. (nee Axtetter) and Martin Anthony Eisenbeis. He is survived by his wife Karen (nee Shady) Eisenbeis, sisters Carolyn E. and Mary Ann Eisenbeis both of Festus, mother-in-law Rita Shady of St. Louis, sister-in-laws Janine Everett and husband Jerry of St. Louis and Lenore Rich and husband Mike of North Carolina, brother-in-law Stephen Shady and wife Marilyn of St. Louis, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, Missouri and part owner of F.W. Harter Plumbing Company in Crystal City. Visitation 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus with funeral mass 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Fr. Joseph Wormek, Pastor.  Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City.  Memorials preferred to Sacred Heart Cemetery or Masses.

Thomas J. Walz, Age: 52, of De Soto, MO, passed away December 2, 2012 at his residence in De Soto, MO. He was a Carpenter. Born August 14, 1960 in Crystal City, MO, he was the Son of the late Dennis G. Walz, and Freda M. (Courtway) Walz, De Soto, MO; Child: Emerald Delaney, Lansing, MI; Brothers & Sisters: Nancy (Chuck) Brinkman, De Soto, MO, Kathy (Jeff) Johnston, De Soto, MO, David Walz, De Soto, MO, Robert Walz, De Soto, MO; Grandchildren: 5; Numerous nieces and nephews. Lavetta M. Garrett, 84, of DeSoto entered into rest on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Baisch Nursing Center, DeSoto. She was an assembler for White Roger's Corporation. She enjoyed sewing, collecting antiques and going to auctions. Born May 5, 1928 in St. Louis; she was the daughter of the late Spirel and Cleo (Frye) Thompson. She leaves behind her loving husband, Ralph H. Garrett. Mrs. Garrett is also survived by three sons: Gerald R. (Patty Ann) Large of Alton, IL, Leland (Charlotte) Large of Winter Haven, Fl, and Clayton (Nancy) Spangler of Dittmer, MO; a daughter, Bonnie Shepard of DeSoto; three brothers: Edwin Thompson of Piedmont, Dale Thompson of Steelville and Elvin Thompson of Patterson, MO and one sister, Doris Hassel of St. Louis; grandchildren: Gerald, Amanda, Renee, Richard, Jessica, and Joshua; great-grandchildren: Cole, Andrea, Cody, Sebastian, Lily, Joshua, Jacob, Pheonix, Mikaylia and Blake. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Elroy Thompson and Eugene Thompson and one sister, Shirley White. She was a retired cook for the Hillsboro R-3 School District and member of Hillsboro First Baptist. Harry Lee Meese, Sr., age 78, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 05, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born August 1, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Ruby (nee Martin) and Harry Meese. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Betty L. (nee Fann) Meese, daughter Ruby Marie Meese, brother-in law James Hilton, Sr. and 3 sisters. He is survived by sons Harry Lee Meese, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Pevely, Michael Meese and Frankie of Perryville, Missouri daughters Verna Dean Branscum and husband Richard of Farmington, Missouri, Freida “Shelley” Shadowens and husband Dilbert of Farmington, sister Geraldine Hilton of Terry, Mississippi, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and former daughter-in-law Pamela Meese of Festus, Missouri.He worked as a dock hand for Branch Motor Express of St. Louis.Visitation 11:00 A.M. until time of service 1:00 P.M. Wilma Faye “Polly” Forrester, age 78, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 06, 2012 at her home in Pevely.  She was born April 12, 1934 in St. Francois County, Missouri the daughter of the late Laura (nee Crump) and James N. Forrester. She is survived by sisters Jane Sutton and husband Roger of Pevely, Judy Pierce and husband Gordon of Sullivan, Missouri and Joyce Cash of St. Louis, Missouri, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sisters Lucille Watson, Lillian Avery, Helen Short, Dorothy Martin, Jean Adams and Ann Smith and brothers William Forrester and James Forrester. Valerie Kaye Salter-Erb, age 47, of DeSoto, Missouri formerly of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 19, 1965 in Festus, Missouri the daughter of the late Shirley Faye (nee Stegall) and Charles Salter, Sr. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Louis Scott Salter and a step-brother Joe Stecher. She is survived by her husband Gary T. Erb of DeSoto, Missouri, brother Charles Salter, Jr. of Festus, nephews Shane and Daniel Salter of Tampa, Florida, Kris Salter and wife Maria of Savannah, Georgia, step-nephew Mickey Delcambre, step-niece Sarah Delcambre, step-sisters Mary Stecher of Fenton, Missouri, Patricia Delcambre and husband Mike of Westfield, Indiana and Diane Stecher of Imperial, Missouri, father-in-law Ken Erb of St. Louis County, Missouri and mother-in-laws Kathy Erb and Kay Erb of St. Louis County. She was an LPN at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Louis and an avid animal lover. Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, Missouri with funeral services 11:00 A.M. Arleen Alice Woffenden, age 89, of Cibolo, Texas passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born December 7, 1923 in Kennebec, South Dakota the daughter of the late Vida (nee Sanders) and George Floyd.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George R. Woffenden, a brother Donald Floyd, a sister Bonnie Porterfield and two grandchildren. She is survived by sons Charles Richard “Chuck” Woffenden and wife Carol of Trent, Texas, George Russell Woffenden and wife Joyce of Penrose, Colorado and William Clayton Woffenden and wife Marianne of Winter, Texas, daughters Jeanne Ann Williams of Mesa, Arizona, Vida Carrie (Curtis Lyles) Linton of Cibolo, Texas and Mary Gail Murchison and husband James of Festus, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was a cook and a waitress, a member of the Eagles Club and Senior Center in Clovis, New Mexico. Private family services to be held at a later date.  Memorials preferred to the Senior Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

Fredia I. (DeClue) Dixon, 73, of Richwoods entered into rest on December 10, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born March 16, 1939 in Cadet, Missouri; she was the daughter of the late Gilbert "Woody" DeClue and Mildred (Buchanan) DeClue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Scott Dixon in June 2004. Mrs. Dixon was the mother of Carl "Rusty" Ayres, Potosi, Freida (George) Zavadil, Corpus Christi, TX, and Audrey Gale Richards of Festus. She also leaves behind two brothers, David (Barbara) DeClue of Beaverton,OR, and Donald (Beverly) DeClue of Festus; two sisters, Virginia (Bobby Santos) Wagaman of Aloha, OR; four grandchildren, Jason (Margo) Rulo, Stephanie (Jason) Babb, Belinda (Tim) Northrup and Christopher DeVore; four great-grandchildren, Scottie Rulo, Ian James Zavadil, Marcia Northrup, and Amanda Northrup. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Nowak and granddaughter, Angela Zavadil. Mrs. Dixon enjoyed embroding, listening to gospel music, working jigsaw puzzles, playing Yahtzee and cards. She was a homemaker and attended the Apostolic Church in Jesus, Richwoods, Missouri.
