Debra L. (Pruneau) Yates, age 52, of DeSoto, MO, entered into rest on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born on September 22, 1959, in Crystal City, MO to Betty P. (Horton) Pruneau of Crystal City and the late William E. Pruneau. Along with her mother, she is survived by her husband of 24 years; John Yates of Desoto, MO, daughters: Jessical (Rob) Metcalf of Festus, MO and Alyssa (Seth) Yates of DeSoto, MO, granddaughters: Cailey and Taylor Metcalf, sisters: Cheryl (Michael) Eccard of Baltimore, MD, Jan (Warren) Glaze of Pevely, MO, Karla (Lonnie) Carter of Hillsboro, MO, Karen (George) Hawkes of DeSoto, MO, Christi (Joan) Pruneau of Crystal City, MO, and Kimberly Braddy of Crystal City, MO, brothers: Bill (Debbie) Pruneau of Festus, MO, Terry (Tammy) Pruneau of DeSoto, MO, Rocky Pruneau of Pevely,, MO, Dennis (Carolyn) Pruneau of DeSoto, MO, Ronnie (Betty) Pruneau of Crystal City, MO, Ernie (Cassie) Pruneau of Fletcher, MO and Eric (Lori) Pruneau of Crystal City, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was a child care manager at Adventures in Learning in DeSoto. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Festus. She liked going to yard sales and the casino and loved her children. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus at 11:00am. Visitation on Wednesday from 5-8pm. Interment Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in DeSoto. Linda K. Becquette, age 55, of Crystal City, MO, entered into rest on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center. She was born on February 8, 1956, in St Louis, to the late Alroy and Shirley (Kinder) Becquette Sr. She is survived by her sons: Marvin (Stephanie) Becquette of Arnold, MO and Alan (Jacqueline) Becquette of Festus, MO, grandchildren: Marvin Becquette Jr and Alexander Cheatham, brothers: Elroy (fiance: Mary Becker) Becquette Jr of Pevely, MO and Joseph (Jacquelyn) Becquette of Festus, MO, sisters: Erma Becquette of Herculaneum, MO, Jacqueline Bolden of Crystal City, MO, and Brenda Becquette of Festus, uncle: John (Gloria) Becquette of Festus, MO, aunts: Mary Brown, Mary Becquette and Ozea Kinder all of Crystal City, MO, nieces, nephews,. cousins and special friends: Carrie Govreau and family, Ladonna Guess and family and Patty Camp and family. She was a former cook at the Robin Hood Restaurant in Pevely and a member of the Buren Chapel AME Church. She loved Cardinal baseball, music, watching movies and children. Robert William Hewitt, age 75, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born May 14, 1936 in Crystal City, Missouri the son of the late Agnes “Sis” (nee Crane) and Wallace Hewitt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elise (nee Drake) Hewitt, a sister Myra Salsbury and two brothers Thomas and Donald Hewitt. He is survived by a son Steven Hewitt and wife Christine of Joelton, Tennessee, daughters Stephanie Link and husband Jon of Denver, Colorado and Susan Howell of Springfield, Tennessee, grandchildren Justin Hewitt and wife Crystal, Gavin Hewitt and wife Pannan, Evan Hewitt, Samuel Hewitt, Brennan Link, Ella Link, Emilla Link and Rachael Howell, step-grandchildren Virgil Sampson and Jeanetta Harper and husband James. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps having served two tours in Vietnam. Later he worked as a maintenance supervisor in research & development for John Deere Corporation. William Theo “Spud” Church, Jr., age 73, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Des Peres, Missouri. He was born May 16, 1938 in Crystal City, Missouri, the son of the late Cora Vera (nee Conardy) and William Theo Church, Sr. He is survived by his wife Sarah Jane (nee Morris) Church, son Jeff Church and wife Lisa of Barrington, Illinois, daughter Lynn Church of Festus, Missouri, grandchildren Lydia and Andrew Church. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1720 and the Joachim Golf Club of Herculaneum, Missouri, and a retired Forklift Operator for Allen Foods in St. Louis. Dorothy Genevieve Doza, age 93 of Festus, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at her residence.  She was born December 24, 1918 in Ste. Genevieve County to the late Genevieve Eve (nee Wolk) and Alfred J. Smith.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers Walter L. and Rudolph A. Smith, son-in-laws Martin “Marty” Gebhardt and Lloyd G. Bates.She is survived by daughters Janice G. Gebhardt of Festus, Carol Bates of Herculaneum, Missouri, a son Oscar V. Doza, Jr. and wife Leanne of Bloomsdale, Missouri, grandchildren  Cheryl Story and husband Brian of Herculaneum, Michelle Shirley of Festus, Dale Bates and wife Debra of Imperial, Missouri, Dealonna Statzel and husband Tim of Crystal City, Missouri, Chad Doza of Kansas City, Missouri, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson Noah Statzel. She was a member of Church of Our Lady and was employed as a seamstress for the Co-Ed Garment Factory. Norman Bernard Schuh, age 92 of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Baisch Nursing Center in DeSoto, Missouri.  He was born August 4, 1919 in Festus, the son of the late Mary (nee Kohler) Schuh-Herman and Henry Schuh.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Norma (nee Coleman) Schuh, a daughter Kathy Ann Faver, brothers Valley J. Schuh, Fred Schuh, infants Edward and Ernest Schuh, and sisters Till M. Skaggs and Virginia Lucas. He is survived by daughters Donna Marie Olinger and husband Larry of Festus, and Deborah Lynn Zumwalt and husband Steve of St. Louis, Missouri, a son-in-law Bill Faver, two sisters Verneta Mosier and Rita Skaggs, grandchildren Gary Olinger, Matt Olinger and wife Yolanda,  Brandon and Allison Zumwalt, Jason Faver and two great-granddaughters, Emily and Elizabeth Olinger. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant with the Fifth Army division across Europe, was a retired glassworker at Pittsburg Plate Glass Company in Crystal City and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1230. She is survived by her husband LeVaughn Dale Loesch, daughters Linda Gant and husband Donald of Festus, Missouri, and Karen Kenehan and husband Robert of Denver, Colorado, a sister-in-law Virginia Harmann of Florissant, Missouri, grandchildren Brandy Polk and husband Donald, Crystal Nelson, Brook Pulliam and husband Ryan, Dillon Gant and Cody Maloy, and 10 great-grandchildren. (Burns) Creasman. Juanita Gertrude Scaggs, age 87 of DeSoto, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Hillcrest Care Center in DeSoto.  She was born December 12, 1924 in Pevely, Missouri the daughter of the late Della Cleo (nee Austin) and Clarence Jones. She is survived by sons John Howard Scaggs and wife Debbie of Hillsboro, Missouri and  Matthew Clarence Scaggs of DeSoto, a brother Eugene “Allen” Jones of Arnold, Missouri, a sister Betty Whited of Pilot Knob, Missouri, and three grandchildren Angie Ritch and husband Michael of Hillsboro, Amanda Scaggs of Hillsboro and John M. Scaggs and wife Kristen of Festus, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Jones, and former husband John Howard “Bud” Scaggs. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Herculaneum/Pevely, Missouri. Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Eva Corina Beckman, age 91, of Pevely, Missouri, formerly of DeSoto, Missouri passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County, Missouri.  She was born June 18, 1920 in Cave-in-Rock, Illinois the daughter of the late Alice (nee Price) and Loren Hufsey.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husbands, Charles Edward Blaine and John Norman Beckman, 5 brothers, 1 sister and an infant daughter Bonnie Sue Blaine. She is survived by a son Edward Blaine and wife Ruth of Pevely, a granddaughter Ashley Firle and husband Spencer of Arnold, Missouri and a former daughter-in-law Denise Blaine of Arnold. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto. Memorial Service and interment, 10:45 A.M. Violet Marie Brown, age 71 of Hillsboro, Missouri passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at her home.  She was born October 1, 1940 in Herculaneum, Missouri the daughter of the late Glenda Mabel (nee Plummer) Bryant and the late Alvin Duren. She is survived by her husband Junior Brown, a son William Brown of Festus, Missouri,  step-children Laurie Wheeler of St. James, Missouri, Karen Wayland of St. Clair, Missouri, Meloney Young and husband Marty of St. Clair, Michelle Brown of St. Clair, Mike Brown and wife Shelby of St. Clair and Keith Brown and wife Tracey of St. Clair, grandchildren Christina Fouler and Matthew Brown, grandchildren Nevah and Nathan Fouler and numerous step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sisters Jeanette Alvina Duncan and Dorothy Ferguson, and her step-father Harold R. Bryant. Fannie M. Riney, age 83, of Festus, MO entered into rest on January 10, 2012 at Fountainbleau Nursing Home. Born on July 19, 1928,  in Coffman, Missouri to the late Freddie and Ida (Underwood) Franks. She is survived by her son: Terraine (Joan) Casey of Hillsboro, MO, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a sister Ozea Kinder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:: Richard Riney, brothers: William Franks, Herbert Franks, Eugene Franks, and James Franks, and sister: Lorraine Flemmings. She was a retired housekeeper for Famous Barr and worked as a nurses aid at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Ward AME Church and was instrumental in getting Mt Zion Cemetery restored. Funeral service was held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 7pm at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Visitation from 5-7pm. Interment Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Reverend Freeman Robinson officiated services.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Olden Goff. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cooking for her family. Mollie N. Ingram, 85, of DeSoto passed away January 12, 2012, at Hillcrest Nursing Center in DeSoto.  Mrs. Ingram worked as a fancy stitcher for the DeSoto Shoe Factory for 24 years.  She was a member of the Open Door Apostolic Church.  Born May 3, 1926, in Coffman, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A and Nettie (Oldham) Brown.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Ingram. She is survived by three daughters: Linda (Jim) Patterson of Cadet, Diane Ingram of Brazil, Indiana and Kathy (Vernon) Smith of DeSoto; one son, Gary (Sue) Ingram of Fletcher; a daughter-in-law, Marion Ingram of DuQuion, Illinois; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ingram; three brothers, Virgil, Ray and Ralph Brown and two sister, Virgie Poteet and Margaret Kissee. Funeral services were held Jan 16 at Mahn DeSoto Chapel, officiated by Derry Bowling.  Burial was in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in DeSoto.  Memorials may be made to the Hillcrest Nursing Center Activities Dept., c/o Vicki Brown, 1108 Clark St., DeSoto 63020.  Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.

Eileen M. Bradford, 86, of DeSoto passed away on Jan 15, 2012 at her home.  Mrs Bradford was employed with the Jefferson County Building Commission in Hillsboro. Born October 19, 1925 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Donoghue and Goldie (Wideman) Santonas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Edward Bradford. She is survived by a son, Michael (Kathy) Bradford of DeSoto, five daughters, Dorothy (Charles) Missey of DeSoto, Norma Adney of DeSoto, Ruth Ann (James) Becker,  Bonne Terre, Kathy (David) Gegg of Festus and Rebecca Ann (Carl) Rhineberger of Festus, a sister, Patricia (Tony) Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Bradford, a brother Thomas Donoghue, and a grandson, Andrew Burris. Funeral services were held January 21 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in DeSoto.  Burial was in the DeSoto City Cemetery.  Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral home in DeSoto.

William Frank “Red” Watters, Jr., age 83 of Festus, Missouri  passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born June 17, 1928 in Festus the son of the late Estella (nee Richardson) and William Rudolph Watters. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen Laverne (nee Valle) Watters, sons William Kenneth “Kenny” Watters and wife Rhonda of Festus and William Frank “Billy” Watters and wife Michelle of Festus, daughters JoAnn Thompson Anderson of Festus, Bonnie Sue Bieser and husband Randy of Festus, Barbara Alan Drury of Festus, Helen Marie Williams and husband Mark of Bloomsdale, Missouri, 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter, one sister Loretta Horridge of DeSoto, Missouri and one brother-in-law Ralph Garrett of Valles Mines, Missouri. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Paul Edward Waters and sisters Wilma Jean Boyer and late husband Fabian, Gerry Leona Garrett, Betty Jean Swyers and late husband Billy and Mary Lee Faulkner. Berry, 85, Hillsboro, passed away Jan 23. 2012 at Des Peres Hospital.  Mrs. Berry was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.  Born March 9, 1926 in Thebes, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Esther (Mabry) Lovell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tollie G. Berry. She is survived by a son, Bobby (Kathy) Berry of Hillsboro, two daughters, Patricia Bates of St. Louis and Debra (Don) Whitehead of Hillsboro; two brothers: Bill Lovell of Illinois and Lee Lovell of Texas; a sister, Edna Becker of Jefferson City; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  She was precded in death by two daughters:  Brenda Silvey and Nancey Woodson, a brother, Leslie Lovell, and two sisters, Orpha Mason and Pearl Pierce. Funeral services were held January 26, 2012 at Mahn DeSoto Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Dave Evans. Raymond A. Charleston Sr, age 92, of Festus, MO, entered into rest on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born on October 18, 1919, in Festus, MO to the late Harvey H. and Gertrude (Gill) Charleston. He was married to the late Georgia R. (Kelly) Charleston who passed away on August 6, 1997. He is survived by his sons: Raymond (Renee') Charleston Jr of Jennings, MO and Harvey (Frances) Charleston of Festus, MO, special friend: Evelyn Carter of Festus, MO, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Herbert Charleston and John Charleston and sisters: Helen Charleston and Winifred Burton. He was a retired truck driver who worked for C.E.S. and Inman Trucking. He was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Alice Faye Ridenour, 65, of DeSoto, passed away Jan 25, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City.  Mrs. Ridenour was born August 1, 1946 in Booth Point, Tennessee; the daughter of Eleanor (McBride) Head of Festus and the late James Head.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Ridenour. In addition to her mother, she is survived by five sons, Charles Ridenour, Jr. of Kansas City, Gregory Ridenour of Jerseyville, Illinois, Gary (Pamela Sue) Ridenour of Cadet, Kevin Ridenour of DeSoto and Steven (Pamela Renee) Ridenour of DeSoto; a daughter, Karen Ridenour of DeSoto; a brother, Larry (Sharon) Head of DeSoto; seven grandchildren:  Jamie, Ashley, Amber, Megan , Dustin and Logan Ridenour and Samatha Nash;  four great-grand children.  She was preceded in death by three brothers: Kenny, Bobby and Danny Head. Joseph Aaron Bradley, 84, of DeSoto passed away January 30, 2012 in High Ridge.  Mr. Bradley was self-employed and volunteered at the VA Medical Center at Jefferson Barracks for 25 years.  Born December 8, 1927 in Lawrence, Kansas, he was the son of the late Arthur M. and Florence (Hodgeson) Bradley.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen (McCormick) Bradley. He is survived by a son, James (Barbara) Bradley of High Ridge; a daughter, Carolyn (Michael Adams) Klump of Bowling Green; two brothers: David (Jan) Bradley of Festus and Raymond (Mary) Bradley of Lemay; four sister, Ruth Duncil of St. Clair, Sylvia (Norman) Borders of Trenton, Betty (Dennis) Auth of O'Fallon, Illinois and Mary (Richard ) Allord of Madisonville, Texas; three grandchildren: Joshua (Amber) Bradley, Joseph (Nicole) Bradley and Andrea Klump; and five great-grandchildren, Jeffree Bradley, Jaxon Bradley, Justin Bradley, Jakub Bradley and Trevor Johnson.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Bradley and George Bradley; three sisters, Sadie Bradley, Vertha Bradley and Anna Bowman, and a brother-in-law, Charles Duncil. Mildred Marie  “Mickey” Portell, age 64, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born March 26, 1947 in Festus the daughter of the late Coeen F. (nee Coplin) and Clifford H. Medley. She is survived by her husband George “Ike” Portell of Ellington, Missouri, daughters Lisa L. Massa of Barnhart, Missouri and Mandy Portell of DeSoto, Missouri, a son Robert L. Portell of Festus, brothers Richard Medley and wife Carla of Festus, Roy Lee Medley and wife Jo of Herculaneum, Missouri, Thomas Medley and wife Deb of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Wayne Medley and wife Dava of Festus, sisters Linda Williams of Perryville, Missouri, Susie Mira and husband Gary of Valles Mines, Missouri and Mabel Coplin of Crystal City, grandchildren Jordan and Kyley Rutz of Festus, Mykal Bates of DeSoto and a sister-in-law Cathy Medley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Medley and a brother-in-law Donald Williams. She was a member of Assumption Church in Herculaneum, Missouri. Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, Pevely, Missouri with Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home officiated by Fr. Joseph Wormek, Pastor, Assumption Church.  Interment Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.  Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
