Timothy G. Davis, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 suddenly at his Festus residence. He was born on November 1960, in Crystal City,MO to Frank and Mary "Frieda" (Bayer) Davis of Festus, MO. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife: Judy (Pruneau) Davis of Festus, son: Frank Davis of Festus, daughters: Megan Davis and KaSandra Bartlett of Festus, brothers: Dan Davis, Bob Davis, Paul Davis and Gary (Connie) Davis all of Festus, sister: Debbie (Phillip) Portell of Festus and grandchildren: Trinity and Makaylea. He was preceded in death by his mother and father in law: Frank and Betty Pruneau. He was a Harley Davidson mechanic and enjoyed working and riding on Harley's and fishing.  Funeral service to be held on Saturday, May 5 2012 at 10:00am at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Visitation on Friday from 5-8pm. Interment Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Norman Paul Dvorak, Sr., age 77, of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born September 23, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Nellie (nee Ryterski) and Harry Dvorak. He is survived by his wife Katherine M. (nee Hacker) Dvorak, sons Norman Dvorak, Jr. and wife Renee of New Haven, Missouri, David Dvorak of Hillsboro, Missouri and Daniel Dvorak and wife Emily of Weldon Springs, Missouri, a daughter Karen Ulrich and husband Charles of St. Louis, Missouri, a sister Angeline “Nellie” Griffin of St. Louis County, Missouri, a half-brother Larry Dvorak of Illinois, grandchildren Aaron and Emily Ulrich, Brittany Weiser and Dalton Dvorak, great-grandchildren Kylynne Kobusch and Joseph Borges. He was a member of Church of Our Lady in Festus, an Army Veteran and a retired switchman from AT&T, a member of the Knights of Columbus #1230, American Legion Post #253 and the VFW Post #3777. Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M, Monday, May 7, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus with funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City officiated by Fr. Amanda Dawn “Mandy” Allenbaugh, age 28, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away May 4, 2012 in Advance, MO. Born December 10, 1983 in Crystal City, MO, she was the Daughter of Jimmie Greenlee, Charleston, MO and Sharon Kay (Shoults) Smith, De Soto, MO (preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Lena Shoults and Herbert Greenlee). Along with her parents she is survived by her Brother & Sister: Crystal (Arthur Rankin) Greenlee, De Soto, MO Buddy Lee (Emily Cullinane) Smith, De Soto, MO (preceded in death by one brother, David Shoults). Elwanda Beatrice Campbell, age 90, of Festus, Missouri formerly of Risco and Hendrickson, Missouri passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born November 2, 1921 in Parma, Missouri the daughter of the late Ethel (nee Reed) Miller and Thomas Miller.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Choat and Robert Campbell, an infant daughter Linda Lou Choat, brothers Harold Miller, Thomas “Short” Miller and Vernon Miller, and brother-in-laws James Orick and J.L. Decker. She is survived by sons Robert Choat and wife Pat of Festus, and Robert Campbell, Jr. and wife Pamela of Sierra Vista, Arizona, a daughter Judith Burton and husband Sidney of Geneva, Illinois, sisters Geneva Orick of Pacific, Missouri, Margie Decker of Bonne Terre, Missouri, a sister-in-law Mary Miller, grandchildren Robin Freeze and husband Dan, Sherry Stapleton and husband Chris, Bekki Burton, Rusty Burton and wife Laurie, Jason Burton and wife Amy, Eric Burton and wife Tara, Chris Campbell and Brian Campbell and wife Cami, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Norman Frederick Shelley, age 85, of Pevely, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born March 12, 1927 in River Mines, Missouri the son of the late Hazel Melinda (nee Thurman) and Thomas Frederick Shelley.  He is survived by his wife M. Katherine (nee Raley) Shelley, daughters Linda K. Conroy and husband Wayne of Ogden, Utah, Kimberly Shelley of Alton, Illinois, Carla Cordell and husband Mike of Chesterfield, Missouri and Carita Arnold of St. Louis, Missouri, a son David L. Bess and wife Cindy of Arnold, Missouri, a brother Aaron “Dale” Shelley and wife Shelby of DeSoto, Missouri, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Steven F. Shelley, brothers Billie Burke Shelley, Thomas Delno Shelley and Donald Gene Shelley, and an infant sister Norma Ruth Shelley. He was the owner/operator of Shelley Drugs in Herculaneum, Missouri and Crystal City.  He also had worked for Doe Run Lead Company in Herculaneum and had attended Radiant Life Pentecostal Church in Festus, Missouri. A memorial gathering will begin at 1:00 P.M. with a memorial service at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, officiated by Rev. Randy Gray, pastor of Radiant Life Pentecostal Church in Festus.  Memorials in his memory are preferred to the Salvation Army or the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Robert N. "Robb" Jett, age 54, entered into rest May 7, 2012 at St Anthony's Medical Center, St Louis. He was born Oct 20, 1957, in Crystal City, MO, to Shirley Rutledge of Belleville, IL and the late Robert Jett. He had worked as a fork lift operator at Schroeder & Tremayne, St Louis. He is survived by his wife, Tina (Sheppard) Jett; mother, Shirley Rutledge; sons: Brandon (Katie) Jett, Jason (Heather) Jett and Logan Jett; sisters: Kelly Beaubein and Jennifer (Ed) Siminuch; and 4 grandchildren: Austin, Megan, Kellan and Rowan. Memorial Service was Thur, May 10, 2012 at Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus.

Matthew John Pooker, age 29, of Festus and Jackson, Missouri passed away suddenly Monday, May 7, 2012 in Jackson.  He was born December 7, 1982 in Crystal City, Missouri the son of Norman H. and Lois (nee Niemann) Pooker of Festus. In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister Rebecca Pooker of Bozeman, Montana, grandparents Laurel and Eunice Niemann of Flagler, Colorado and Edna Pooker of Festus, aunts Bernice Nissen and husband Bob, Evie Brassie, Janice Koopman and husband Dave, Carolyn Stevens and husband Randy, Sharon Stevens and husband Bart and Loraine Saffer and husband Roger, numerous cousins, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by a grandfather Harold Pooker. He was a baptized and confirmed member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro and the American Society of Civil Engineering.  He was a 2001 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri – Rolla where he received his Masters Degree.   He was a project engineer with Penzel Construction Co. in Jackson and a partner in Pooker Excavating and Grading LLC of Festus.Visitation from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 11, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.  Then at Zion Lutheran Church of Hillsboro after 9:00 A.M. with funeral services at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 12, 2012, officiated by Rev. Gary Schulte, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church.  Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Hillsboro.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Dakota Boys Ranch of Minot, North Dakota, through Zion Lutheran Church of Hillsboro or the Matthew Pooker Scholarship Fund at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri.

Mylie L. Clemmons, age 73, entered into rest May 8, 2012 at his Bloomsdale residence. He was a carpenter who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Born January 10, 1939, in Florence, AL, to the late Elihue and Velma (Case) Clemmons. Survived by brother, Gathern Clemmons; sisters: Welodean Singleton and Marvelean Thomlison; nieces and nephews. Graveside service was held at Greenview Memorial Gardens, Florence, AL. Arrangements by Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus.

Marguerite “Mickey” Dunn, age 89, of Herculaneum, Missouri formerly of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at her residence.  She was born August 6, 1922 in Collinsville, Illinois the daughter of the late Cecilia (nee Arth) and Arthur Sullivan.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George D. Dunn, a daughter Mary Marguerite Dunn, who died in infancy, son-in-laws Jerry Warren and Ken Gehner, brothers Robert and Arthur Sullivan and a granddaughter Kristine Schell. She is survived by sons Michael Dunn and wife Rosie of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Timothy Dunn and wife Carey Beth of Foristell, Missouri and Thomas Dunn of St. Charles, Missouri, daughters Kathleen Woodard of Herculaneum, Theresa Warren of Herculaneum, Rose Ann Gehner of Camden, Missouri and Margaret Keith and husband Tim of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, a registered nurse at the May Company Department Store and a nurse at what was once St. John’s Hospital, now Mercy Hospital, a member of the St. John’s Nursing Alumni and the VFW Auxiliary. Jerome J. “Jerry” Johnstone, age 61, of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Joseph’s West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Missouri.  He was born September 28, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Helen L. (nee Schulze) and James R. Johnstone. He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Keplinger) Johnstone, son Matthew Johnstone and wife Suzanne of Silex, Missouri, grandsons Colton and Jarett Johnstone of Silex, a brother John C. Johnstone and wife Janet M. of Arnold, Missouri,  a sister Kate Elizabeth Gilson, his mother-in-law Vivian Keplinger of Columbus, Ohio and a sister-in-law Ruth Chavez of Columbus. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother James Johnstone. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He worked at Graphic Packaging in St. Louis.  He also had been a long motion picture projectionist, having worked at the Twin City Cinema in Crystal City, the LaJade Cinema in Festus, Missouri and numerous other cinemas in the greater St. Louis area.  He was a member of Local #143 motion picture machine operators union and had attended the First United Methodist Church of Festus/Crystal City. Kenneth Eugene Hill, age 69 of Festus, Missouri passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at his residence.  He was born September 23, 1942 in Huzzah, Missouri the son of the late Betty (nee Johnson) and Virgil Hill. He is survived by his wife Janet K. (nee Hartsell) Hill, daughters Angela Mayes and husband D’Antay of Festus and Vlenda Dornseif and husband Thomas of Florida, a son Kyle Hill and wife Anna of Festus, brothers Bill Hill of Festus, David Hill and wife Theresa of Cedar Hill, Missouri, sisters Carol Roth and husband Don of Bloomsdale, Missouri and Mary Davis of Festus, grandchildren Cameron Hill, Marley Mayes, David, Amanda and Mylissa Dornseif. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Donald Hill and Jimmy Hill and a granddaughter Emma Hill. He was a painter for Kenworth-St. Louis located in Fenton, Missouri. Emma Aletha “Imogene” Kasten, age 90 of Herculaneum, Missouri passed away Monday May 14, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born March 1, 1922 in Ellenville, New York the daughter of the late Elsie (nee Mason) and James Mansfield.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Oscar Allen “Bud” Kasten and three sisters Gladys Smith, Daisy Lewis and Virginia Berryann. She is survived by a daughter A. Patricia Parsons of Festus, Missouri, sons Edward A. Kasten of Festus and Oscar James “Jim” Kasten and wife Tina Jo of Herculaneum, grandchildren Erin Kasten and husband Don Daniel, Carrie Lacy and husband James, Ryun Kasten and wife Amy, Jeanna (Rose) Kasten, Mary Rebecca Kasten, Lewis Kasten and wife Jamie, Scott Parsons and wife Elisa, Jeff Parsons and wife Wendy, Tara Price and husband Steve and ten great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Jefferson County in DeSoto, Missouri, a nurse in the United States Navy during World War II, a nurse for the Dunklin R-5 School District and a member of the Jefferson County Nurses Association. Martin, age 88, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  She was born May 3, 1924 in Antonia, Missouri the daughter of the late Julie (nee Schlueter) and Henry Kraus. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Victor Martin, daughters Nelda Martin of Pevely, Jewell Edwards and husband Ed of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Pamla Atkins and husband Wayne of Nelson, Missouri, a son Steven Martin and wife Patricia of Pevely, sisters Olivia Eichorn of Altenburg, Missouri and Alta Schmidt of Barnhart, Missouri, a brother Norvill Kraus and wife Joyce of Antonia, grandchildren Paul Atkins, Henry Atkins and wife Heather, Danora Doe and husband Brian, Katina Kraatz and husband Jim, Edwin Edwards III, Andrew Martin and wife Lorri, Richard Martin and Rachel Martin, and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brother-in-laws Paul Eichorn and Jacob Schmidt. She was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pevely where she had been active with the Altar and Women’s Guilds.  Early in life she attended and graduated from the Molder Beauty College where she received her beautician’s license and worked with her two sisters at their beauty shop in Imperial.  She later worked at Haefner’s Greenhouse in Mehlville.  She was a devoted homemaker, gardener and farmer with the Martin family farm. Visitation will begin 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 20, 2012 with funeral services at 4:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Pevely, officiated by Dr. W. Mart Thompson, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church.  Interment in Antonia Cemetery.  Memorials in her memory may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church of Pevely. Schulte, age 95, of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born October 13, 1916 in Herculaneum, Missouri the daughter of the late Ann (nee Juliette) and John Gilbert. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Pete Schulte, brothers Charles, Emmett, Curtis, Ernest, John, Donald and Dubart Gilbert, sisters Bernice and Ruth Gilbert and a brother-in-law William Rabe.  She is survived by her daughter Ruth Yeida and husband Bill of Crystal City, her son John G. French and wife Donna of Crystal City, sister Doris Rabe of Crystal City, sister-in-laws Elizabeth Gilbert and Doris Gilbert, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Herculaneum and a past president of the Festus-Crystal City Art Guild.Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Elizabeth M. "Betty" Newbold, age 96, of Imperial, MO entered into rest on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her residence. She was born on August 5, 1915, in Flat River, Missouri to the late James and Virgie (Allen) Duemler. She was married to the late Denver Newbold. She is survived by her daughters: Patricia (Rich) Tamborski of Pittsburg, CA and Betty Green of Imperial, MO, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren and a sister: Hallie Fiala. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: William Newbold and a sister: Eugenia "Jean" Haddock. She was a former welder for Knapp Monarch Electric. Born August 21, 1950 in Potosi, Missouri, she was the Daughter of the late Raymond and Goldie (nee Sancegrow) Douglas. He had been a supervisor for LaRoche Chemical Co, a US Army veteran who had served in WW II and a member of Fairview Christian Church. Born Nov 28, 1926, in St Mary, MO, to the late William and Mary (Schweigert) Palmer. Survived by his wife, Tiny (Oberle) Palmer of Crystal City; daughters: Linda (John) Grawcock, Denise (Bud) Goodman and Jodi (Patrick) Sammari;   brother, Ray Palmer; sister, Jean Wehner; granddaughter, Kerri (Pat) Dulany; great grandchildren: Brittany, Brooke, Sami, Brenna and Arianna. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, David Palmer; brothers: Fred, George and Francis Palmer; sisters: Willa Meyer, Ann Baumann, Catherine Otte, Clara Uding, Rose Menzel and Liz Schilli. John Charles “Jed” Jedlicka, age 71 of Pevely, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his home.  He was born February 13, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Veronica (nee Dabin) and John Joseph Jedlicka. Todd of Pevely, Missouri, beloved nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his father-in-law Desmond “Bill” Todd and brother-in-law Dr. William R. Todd. He was a veteran of the United States Navy submarine service during the Vietnam era, a graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla, a nuclear engineer, a sales engineer of industrial products, science teacher, a current student at the Covenant Theological Seminary and a minister at New Offenburg Baptist Church in Ste. Yerkes of San Francisco, California and extended family and friends. She was a retired secretary for a glass company and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City. James Edward Dayton, age 61, of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Jefferson County, Missouri.  He was born August 27, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Violet (nee Howard) and John Dayton. He is survived by his wife Debbie (nee Fadler) Dayton, a son Colby Dayton of Chesterfield, Michigan, a daughter Krystal Bingham and husband Greg Patterson of Festus, mother and father-in-law Glenda and Delbert Fadler, brother-in-law Rowdy Fadler and wife Brenda, best friend Billie Ventura, beloved pet Miss Libby Dayton, brothers Ralph Schwartz and wife Duann of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Ray Dayton and wife Vickie of Geneseo, Illinois, John Dayton of Birmingham, Alabama and Larry Dayton of St. Roberts, Missouri, sisters Linda Rueter of Bowling Green, Sharon Rovanbolenberg of Renose, Iowa, Sherrie Lynn of Iowa and Laura LaRose of Adrienne, Missouri. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Rodney Fadler. Jesse M. Kenuam, 44, Bloomsdale, died May 18, 2012, in Bloomsdale.  Mr. Kenuam was a diesel mechanic for Armor Equipment. Born DEC 8, 1967, he was the son of Henry Kenuam, Sr. of DeSoto and Maggie (Watson) Kenuam of DeSoto. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (McKay) Kenuam of Arnold; three sons: Steve (Shelly) Yates of Herculaneum, Jason (Sara) Yates of Valley Park and Ronnie (Christie) Siebert of Tennessee; two daughters: Michelle (Ed) Lunders of O'Fallon and Alecia Siebert of Herculaneum; three brothers: Henry (Dawn) Kenuam, Jr., of DeSoto, James (Mandy) Kenuam of DeSoto and Ronnie Kenuam of DeSoto and seven grandchildren: Ashley, Jackson, Ava, Dalten, Landen, Kamden and Kyndal.<br><br> Funeral services were held May 22 at the Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Alfred F. "Al" Chapman, 75, DeSoto, died May 19, 2012, in the The Villas Nursing Home in DeSoto.  Mr Chapman was a TV repairman.  Born Sept. 1, 1936, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late John Chapman and Minnett (Hill) Chapman.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon A Chapman. He is survived by two sons:  Alfred (Tina) Chapman of DeSoto and Jimmie (Patricia) Chapman of Perryville: and three daughters: Sharon Shoults of DeSoto, Arlene (Ernie) White of St. Louis and Sally (Joe) Huskey of Missouri.  He was preceded in death by six brothers:  Fred, David, Charlie, Richard, Harry and Edward Chapman; and three sisters: Dorothy Chapman, Reba Wagonblast and Wilma Chapman. Funeral services were held May 23 at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Derek Jones.  Burial was in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in DeSoto.  Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.

George Harold Bond, Jr., age 98, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home.  He was born October 11, 1913 in Crystal City the son of the late Deedie (nee Hetherington) and George Harold Bond, Sr.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Thomas Wayne Bond and his wife Hilda, Paul S. “Padge” Bond and a brother-in-law Robert AuzatHe is survived by his wife of 58 years Hardeman (nee Crowe) Bond, daughter Susan Elizabeth Bond Nardizzi of Tallahassee, Florida, twin grandchildren Katherine and Bradley Nardizzi of Tallahassee, a sister Myra Auzat of Hillsboro, Missouri, sister-in-law Florence Bond of St. Louis, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. Mr. Bond lived his life in Crystal City except for service in the U.S. Army during World War II.  After graduating from Crystal City High School in 1932, he held positions with Pittsburgh Plate Glass and was the youngest City Clerk of Crystal City, assuming that post at the age of 25. After returning from WWII, Mr. Bond took a position at the Crystal City Savings and Loan Association where he served as Secretary, Treasurer and President.  He retired in 1982 after 36 years. He served as Treasurer of the Twin City Community Chest for 37 years, Bill Bradley Scholarship Fund for 18 years, Twin City Unit of the American Red Cross for 6 years and the Crystal City Relief Assn. for 6 years. He served on the Crystal City Public Library Board for 3 years, the Crystal City Merit System Police Commission and was the Chairman of the First Cancer Society Drive in Crystal City. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church, life member of American Legion Post #253, an avid gardener, reader, local historian, and also enjoyed art, musical theatre, ballroom dancing and daily walking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Lanny M. (Marian “Sue” survives of Festus) Charleville, sisters Catherine (the late William H.)
