76, of DeSoto, MO, passed away April 1, 2013 at his residence.
He was a self-employed auto body repairman.
Born August 17, 1936 in Sikeston, MO, he was the Son of: the late Elmer
and Pearl (nee Denton) Riney. He was also preceded in death by: Brother,
L.V. "Joe" Riney, Brother, Virgil Riney, Brother, Paul Riney, Brother,
Frank Riney, Sister, Ethel Riney, Sister, Mildred Powers, Sister, Helen
Schneider. He is survived by: Wife, Pamala A (nee DePriest) Riney of De
Soto, MO; Step-son, Dennis (Denice) Petty of Brinkley, AR; Step-son,
Donald Petty of Gregory, AR; Step-son, Doye Petty of Desoto, MO;
Step-son, Douglas {Shannon} Petty of Valles Mines, MO; Daughter, Tammy
Riney of Fredericktown, MO; Daughter, Tereasa {Kenny} Lunsford of
Fredericktown, MO; Sister-in-law, Alma Riney of Sikeston, MO; Sister,
Viola Meyers of Rock Falls, IL; 1 Grandchild and Step-grandchildren, 11;
Step-great-grandchildren, Five. He loved camping and was a member of the

Janice S. Litton, age 63, of DeSoto, entered into
eternal rest on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Anthony's de Greeff
Hospice House in St. Louis. Janice was born on June 28, 1949 in Bliss,
Missouri to the late Homer L. Warden and Lucille (Merseal) Warden of
DeSoto. She is survived by her loving family, sons, Adam Litton of St.
Louis and Chris Litton of Springfield, MO, brothers, Lawrence Glennon
Warden of St. Peters, Francis "Bud" (Gail) Warden of St. Louis, and
Kevin (Terri) Warden of DeSoto, sisters, Peggy (Joe) Michaels of
Farmington, Brenda (Mike) Wilson of Festus, Diane (Brad) Koogler of
Festus, and loved by many nieces and nephews. Janice was a homemaker and
loved reading, bird watching, sewing, crafts and baking. She loved her
cat "Caesar". She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She
was preceded in death by her loving husband John H. Litton and her

16, 2013 at his residence in St.
Louis, MO. Mel was a 1990 graduate of De Soto High School where he was a
National Merit Scholar and Bright Flight Scholarship recipient. After
graduating from Washington University Mel went to work for Edward Jones,
St. Louis, MO as a financial analyst and then started his own company
ClaroConnect.com; he was also owner of Central West End Crossfit and a
member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Born April 1, 1972 in Cottonwood, AZ he
was the Son of Mike and Debra (nee Owens) Marten, Steamboat Springs, CO.

Dr Philip Mitchell "Chip" Rowden, age 39, entered into rest Friday, April 19, 2013 at his Herculaneum residence. He opened his medical practice in Hillsboro in 2002 and expanded his practice with an office in DeSoto; he was also the resident physician for local nursing homes. Born February 11, 1974, in Crystal City, to Mitchell and Ruth (Almond) Rowden of Hillsboro. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 16 years, Shannon (Rudin) Rowden; sons: Jordan M. Rowden, Trenton R. Rowden and Braden M. Rowden; daughter, Kaci J. Rowden; brother, Nicholas (Rachel) Rowden of Festus; sister, Corinna (Rich) Kremmer of Okawville, IL; and mother and father-in-law, Rev Albert "Chip" and Connie Rudin of Herculaneum. Dr Rowden was medical director of Amhart Hospice, Blue Thunder baseball coach, district Quiz Director at his Church and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gobain Glass in Pevely; he was a member of Mississippi River Eagles and
Elks Lodge 1721. He enjoyed collecting hot wheels, woodworking and
shooting guns. Born March 5, 1948, in St Louis, to the late Clifford and
Edna (Stuthers) Mitchell. He is survived by his loving family which
includes his son, Jeffrey Mitchell of Festus; daughter, Cynthia (Alan)
Turner of Festus; brother, Bruce Mitchell of Festus; and grandchildren:
Alexis and Brayden Turner.

Goldman, Missouri, he was the Son of the late William and Agnes (nee
Wind) Peters. He is survived by his Wife: Carol A. (nee Sampson) Peters,
Cadet, MO; Children: Steven (Dena) Milz, Chafffee, MO; Matt (Samantha
Kluesner) Peters, Chaffee, MO; William (Heather Schrum) Peters, Cadet,
MO; Brothers & Sisters: Gary (Becky) Peters, Hillsboro, MO; Warren
(Bonnie) Peters, Las Vegas, NV; Bill (Marge) Peters, Farmington, MO;
John (Wanda) Peters, Bonne Terre, MO; Mike (Sharleen) Peters, Bonne
Terre, MO; Grandchildren: Carlie, Garrett, Hailey, Dierks, Kaylee,
AnnaJo, and William; Great Grandchildren: Cayden Wayne and several
Nieces and Nephews. He was a member: St. Stephens Catholic Church,
Richwoods, MO and VFW Post #1831; he was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.

W. Kathleen Kemp-Hawkins,
85 years, Hillsboro, entered into rest on April 29, 2013 in Crystal
City. She was in an administor capacity for the Jefferson County Animal
Control. She was a member of the Desoto Amvets Ladies Auxiliary; she
liked traveling and fishing but not baiting her own hook. Born June 19,
1927 in Cairo, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late D.A. Tommy
Parkman and Lillian (nee Burton) Parkham. Her husband, Ed Kemp had
preceded her in death. Kathleen was the mother of Thomas D. Kemp of
Hillsboro and Judy K. (Gary C.) Johnson of Festus; grandmother of Mindy,
Tracy, Nick, Christine, Amanda and Joshua; and great-grandmother to
Mariah, Michael, Joshua, Emilina and Madilynne. Along with her parents
and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Dean F. Kemp and
Edward L. Kemp.
