Born April 5, 1917 in De Soto, Missouri, he was the Son of the late Fred W. and Henrietta Margaret (Hencher) Smith. He is survived by his Wife, Eva Belle (nee Whitsell) Smith, Ironton, MO; Children: Juanita Ellen (Gary) Lidholm, Denver, CO, Linda Margaret (Dr. Edwin) Bowe, Nicholasville, KY; Brothers & Sisters: Gertrude Christopher, Mt. View, MO (preceded in death by one sister, Marie Hager); Granddaughters: Jayne Ellen Lidholm, Ryan Elizabeth Bowe (preceded in death by grandchildren, Jason and his wife Jessica Lidholm); Great Grandson: Julian Jayson Tamez. Pauline N. (Torres) Schmieg, age 90, formerly of DeSoto, entered into rest June 2, 2012 in Festus, Missouri. Born June 29, 1921, in Ancho, NM, to the late Librado and Jesucita (Nunez) Torres. She was a homemaker and member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Festus; she liked to spend time with her family and embroidery. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Falkenberg of Arnold; grandchildren: Nathan Schmieg and Tony Falkenberg; and great grandchild, Jaden Schmieg. Her husband, Wallace Schmieg, preceded her in death in 2008. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by brother, Raymond Aleriz and sister, Lane Orosco. Robert Willard Sculthorpe, age 74, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home in Festus. He was born January 24, 1938 in LaCrosse, Virginia the son of the late Evelyn (nee Ezelle) and Robert Sculthorpe. He is survived by his wife Marcella (nee Alexander) Sculthorpe, son Robert L. Sculthorpe and wife Kimberly, granddaughter Ashley Axtetter and husband Jeremy, great-grandchildren Laine Axtetter and Caleb Axtetter, nephew Chris Godier and wife Missy of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge # 1721 a retired electrical worker and an avid fisherman. Visitation from 10:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. Wayne Roy Thomason, Sr., age 78, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home in Fenton, Missouri.  He was born June 5, 1933 in Salem, Missouri the son of the late Alma (nee Holland) and Marley Thomason. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ivd “Dee” (nee Leonard) Thomason. He is survived by son James Thomason and wife Brenda of Fenton, daughter Rebecca Meyers of Creve Coeur, Missouri grandchildren Daniel Kelley and wife Julia and Lauren Thomason, great-grandchildren Joseph Kelley, Emma Kelley and Andrew Kelley. He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Festus/Crystal City, the Elks Lodge #1721 and the National Rifle Association. Dorothy Alberta Yarbrough, age 79, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her home in Bloomsdale, Missouri.  She was born October 12, 1932 in Chloride, Missouri the daughter of the late Virginia May (nee LaComb) and Newton Isaac Warren.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Haskell Eugene Lorentz, Jr., a sister Bernice Keith, brothers Robert Warren and Raymond Warren and a brother-in-law George Waller. She is survived by daughters Reba Ann Whited and husband Delmar of Ironton, Missouri, Brenda Sue Odom and husband William of Farmington, Missouri, a son Ronald Dale Lorentz of Bloomsdale, sisters Nancy Waller of St. Charles, Missouri, Alice Turner and husband William of Bloomsdale, brother Newton Warren of Annapolis, Missouri, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Alta E. Boulch, 69, of Hillsboro passed away June 5, 2012 at St. Anthony's deGreeff Hospice in St. Louis County.  Mrs. Boulch was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Baptist Church in Hillsboro.  Born August 1, 1942 in Ypsilanti, Michigan; she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Ethyl (Pejett) Montgomery. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronald W. Boulch; two daughters, Julie (Timothy) Jones of Park Hills and Chery Boulch of Hillsboro; and three grandchildren:  Austin, Taylor and Dylan. Funeral services were held June 9 at Mahn DeSoto Chapel, officiated by the Rev. He was an Equipment Operator for the Missouri State Highway Department. Born June 8, 1927 in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was the Son of the late Jack and Nellie (nee Vansickle) Fulco. She was a Beautician at Margaret’s Beauty Shop, De Soto, MO; worked polls for elections and she also did chair caning. Born September 8, 1929 in De Soto, Missouri, she was the Daughter of the late Ernest B. Sr. and Mary Katherine (nee Haverstick) Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her Husband the late Robert L. Hammack. Glenn W. Stafford, age 85, of Barnhart, MO, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at his residence. Born on August 6, 1926, in Bixby, Missouri to the late Freemont and Minta (Stuart) Stafford. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years: Margaret (Parker) Stafford; daughter: Carole (Jim) Abling of Barnhart, granddaughter: Karen (Geoff) Duckworth of Barnhart, and great grandchildren: Garrett, Morgan and Rylan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Winford Stafford and sisters: Fern Adams, Alma Parker and Geraldine Bay. He was employed as a Programs Specialist for the U.S. Government. He was a veteran of the US Army and US Air Force and served during World War II and the Korean war. He was a deacon at Highland Baptist Church, a member of Gideons International, Joachim Masonic Lodge #164 and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Charles Daniel “Dan” Burnes, age 49, of Fenton, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident near Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born February 3, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Elizabeth (nee Hartle) and James Burnes. He is survived by sons Tyler and Ryan Burnes of Lemay, Missouri, a daughter Kaylee Burnes of Lemay, his former wife Sue Burnes of Lemay, sisters Rebecca Nosser and husband James of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Janet King of Jonesboro, Pat King and husband David of Jonesboro, and Kathy Schulte of Hillsboro, Missouri, brothers Robert Burnes and wife Carol of Festus, Missouri, Jim Burnes and wife Doris of Fenton, Missouri and Mike Burnes and wife Diane of Arnold, Missouri. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Edwin King. Richard Glenwood Dix, age 84, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home in Barnhart, Missouri.  He was born May 4, 1928 in Herculaneum, Missouri the son of the late Flossie (nee LaBrot) Dix-Byington and Homer Dix. He is survived by his wife Helen (nee Boyer) Dix, daughters Gretchen (Danny) Denton of Festus, Missouri, Wanda Slade of Cypress, California, Marilyn Oshia of Nevada and Joyce (Wayne) Boyer of Cadet, Missouri, sons Michael Oshia of Blackwell, Missouri and Jeffrey Oshia of Bonne Terre, Missouri, sister Lynn (Ted) Van Horn of Wichita, Kansas, brother Jim (Jennie) Dix of Herculaneum, grandchildren Mindy (Craig) Southern, Stacy Denton, Amy (Tyler) Bates, Tarrah (Kevin) Kirkpatrick, Amanda Boyer, Kyle (Emily Brinkman) Oshia and Megan Gajdosik, great-grandchildren Kaleb Southern, Clayton Southern, Carter Southern, Gavin DeBoor, Garrett DeBoor, Hayden Bates, Hunter Bates, Hudson Bates, Mark Southern, Jamie Southern, David Kirkpatrick, Bradly Boyer, John Kirkpatrick and Aaden Courtway. John Allen Gotwalt, age 84, of Festus, MO, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Jefferson Barracks Hospital. Born on September 29, 1927, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, to the late Stewart and Mary (Pifer) Gotwalt. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years: Patricia (Bruce) Gotwalt of Festus, MO, daughter: Susan Rau of Munich, Germany; brothers: Clyde (Reda) Gotwalt of Hanover, PA and Robert (Donna) Gotwalt of Spring Grove, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was a retired supervisor for the housekeeping department for Clean Tech. He served his country in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Emmanuel Luthern Church and the American Legion Post #253 of Festus. The funeral service is to be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:30am at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Dewey Wayne Kuhns, age 69, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home in Festus, Missouri.  He was born December 5, 1942 in Dixon, Missouri, the son of the late Sylvia (nee Ross) and Adrian Kuhns. He is survived by his wife Helen (nee Raley) Kuhns, daughters Nina Bable and husband Dale of Morse Mill, Missouri and Nora Chapman and husband Mike of Arnold, Missouri, grandchildren CK Bable, Arthur Gammons, Leona Chapman and Michael Chapman, Jr., a sister Jessie Rollins and her husband Gilbert of Dixon, a niece that was raised as a sister Jeanette Osborn and her husband Roger, a sister-in-law June Kuhns and a brother-in-law Ron Dzieglewiciz. He was preceded in death by sisters Stella Dzielewicz and Audrey Humphrey and her late husband CF and a brother Stanley Kuhns. He retired from Autoworkers Local #136 and had been employed at the Fenton, Missouri Chrysler Auto Plant. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes with private family services.

James Herman Ellenberger, age 58, of Festus, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Benchmark Health Care Center of Festus.  He was born December 23, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Ruth Hazel (nee Guyton) and Herman A. Ellenberger. He is survived by brothers Richard N. Ellenberger and wife Robin of Fredericktown, Missouri and Michael J. Ellenberger and wife Annette of Festus. He was a Quality Assurance Supervisor in the petroleum industry. Graveside Memorial Service 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 15, 2012  at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, Missouri officiated by Rev. Herbert J. Tretter, Sr., 90, DeSoto passed away June 10, 2012 at his home. Mr. Tretter was a driver for a trucking company and a member of Teamsters Local 133 and United Church of Christ.  Born April 26, 1922, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Louis and Ella (Boehm) Tretter.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Gunsaulus) Tretter.  He is survived by four sons:  Herbert (Barbara) Tretterr, Jr. of Houston, Texas, John (Barbara) Tretter of Fenton, Thomas (Deborah) Tretter of DeSoto and William (Judy) Tretter of Chesterfield; a daughter, Patricia Brewer of DeSoto; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kenneth Brewer; a sister-in-law, Alice Gunsaulus, and a grandson, Jake Brewer. John Owens Long, age 68, of St Louis (Formerly of DeSoto) entered into rest on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Quarters at Des Peres in St Louis. Born on December 14, 1943, in St Louis to the late Charles B. and Julia "Connie" (Reeves) Long. He is survived by his loving wife: Mary Lou (Pond) Long of St Louis, MO, daughters: Lorie (Adam Reisz) Long of St Louis, MO and Mandy (Wes) Gregory of St Louis, MO and grandchildren: Olivia Reisz, Riley Gregory and Charley Gregory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: William Long. He was a retired polygraph analyst for the FBI. In previous years, he was an art teacher and basketball coach for the DeSoto School District. He enjoyed deer hunting, old movies, baseball, working and cooking at deer camp. M. Carolyn and Raymond D. McLean, of Festus, Missouri passed away together suddenly, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Jefferson County, Missouri. Carolyn, age 70 was born August 26, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Schmidt) and A.Wayne Rouggly.  Raymond, age 75 was born June 20, 1937 in Marquand, Missouri, the son of the late Dorothy (nee Estes) and Frank  McLean. They are survived by two daughters, Robin Miles-McLean and husband Stuart of Washington D.C., and Donna McLean and husband Marcus Peacock; grandchildren Mey and Iona McLean, Jake, Haley and Nathaniel Miles-McLean, all of Washington D.C.. Also survived by Carolyn’s sister Julia A. Rouggly of Festus, brothers William “Bill” Rouggly and wife Claudia of Festus and David Rouggly and wife Kathleen of Richmond, California; Raymond’s sister Anabel Hudgins and husband Wayne of Frontenac, Missouri and brother Jack McLean and wife Barbara of Florissant, Missouri. They are also survived by many nieces and nephews who spent summers with Ray and Carolyn learning about the fun and wonders of The Schmidt-Rouggly Farm. They were members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of Festus, volunteers for the Ozark Food Pantry and were way ahead of the “green” movement and raised anti-biotic free, grass-fed, registered Belted Galloway cattle.  Carolyn was a retired, award-winning sales representative with Creative Systems and Raymond was a retired independent insurance broker of his firm, Caen-Leach-McLean, based in Maryland Heights, Missouri.  In retirement, Ray enjoyed singing in barbershop choruses in both Festus and Perdido Key, Florida where Ray and Carolyn celebrated their last two wedding anniversaries.  Carolyn enjoyed china painting, water colors, and creating elaborate murals in her grandchildren’s bedrooms. A memorial gathering is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. On Tuesday June 26th  there will be a memorial service at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of Festus beginning 10:00 A.M. with memorial service at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Rev. He is survived by daughters, Dena Thompson and husband Nick of Farmington, Missouri, Amanda Glaze of Fredericktown, Missouri and Shirley Chamberlain of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and sons Jared and Sevin Glaze of Farmington, grandchildren Brianna and Ryan Chamberlain, Tyson Thompson and Wyatt Pruett.  He is also survived by brothers Ronnie Glaze and wife Susan of Terre du Lac, Missouri, Dwight Glaze and wife Joyce of Crofton, Maryland, Warren Glaze and wife Jan of Pevely, Missouri, James “Jake” Glaze and wife Cathy of Cadet, Missouri and Barry Glaze and wife Caroline of DeSoto, Missouri, and a sister Debby Rawlins and husband Larry of Pevely, Missouri. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by a sister Sharon Glaze who died in infancy. He was a welder in the pipeline industry and a Mason with the Blackwell Lodge. He is survived by his loving wife: Iva (Sparks) Shannon of Bonne Terre, MO; children: Mike Shannon of Belleville, IL, Steve Shannon of Belleville, IL, Diane Shannon of Smithton, IL, Jan (Mike) Forness of Belleville, IL, Dave Shannon of Belleville, IL, Angie Mullholland of Smithton, IL, Barry (Kim) Sevic of Florissant, MO, Joe (DeShan) Sevic of Lee Summit, KS, Cynthia (Charles) Moates of Sikeston, MO and Frank Sevic of Sikeston, MO, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a retired journeyman/lineman for Southeran California Edison. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Park Hills. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting furniture and fishing. He was also a member of the IBEW and NECA.

Born on April 13, 1973, in Belleville, IL to the late Jack Taylor and Harriet (Kircher) Mooney. She is survived by her sons: Brady Smith and Cody Smith; former spouse and father of her children: Jeremy Smith of Hillsboro, MO, sister: Cindy Miller of Laverne, CA, niece: Briana Miller of Laverne, CA, nephew: Tyler Miller of Laverne, CA, former brother in law: Roy Miller of CA and many close friends. Jennifer was a former hair stylist for Style Station in Arnold and was currently working in computer business sales. She loved to decorate and was eager to help anyone. She loved her boys dearly and socializing with neighbors and friends. Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 7:00pm at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Mardell Jane Benton, age 66, of Barnhart, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born July 8, 1945 in Guthrie Center, Iowa the daughter of Margaret (nee Saltsgaver) Hollar-Forcht of Festus, Missouri, and the late Eldon Hollar. She is survived by her husband, Larry Benton of Barnhart, Missouri, a son Sean Benton of Barnhart, Missouri and a daughter Melodee Benton of Port St. Lucie, Florida. She is also survived by a brother Eldon Lee Hollar and wife Carolyn of Anchorage, Alaska. She was a retired secretary for the Dunklin R-5 Herculaneum High School, and a member of the Guthrie Center Church of Christ. Visitation from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Lillian Florence Albano, age 94 of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 in Festus, Missouri.  She was born February 3, 1918 in Crystal City the daughter of the late Edna (nee Wagner) and Henry Wagner. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Albano and two sisters Corinne Lalumondier and late husband Adam and Delphia G. Wagner. She is survived by a niece Cindy Douglas and husband Robert W. of Crystal City, nephews Donald Lalumondier and wife Susan of Highland, Illinois and Richard H. Lalumondier and partner John J. Marston of Gaithersburg, Maryland, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Jason M. Hartwell, 36, of DeSoto passed away at his home on June 24, 2012. Mr. Hartwell was a self employed construction contractor. He was a Journeyman Apprenticeship from Carpenters Union. He loved the outdoors. Born December 8, 1975 in St. Louis; he was the son of James E. Hartwell of Festus and Jacqueline (Moelm) Hartwell of Arnold. He leaves behind his loving Wife, Mina (Worthy) Hartwell of DeSoto and two Daughters, Isabella and Olivia Hartwell. Mr. Hartwell is also survived by his mother's friend, Michael Hartwig; his Grandmother, Connie Moelm of St. Louis and his Mother-in-law, Gail (Virden) Lauder of Huntsville, AL. Jason was preceded in death by his son, Justin Hartwell; his grandfather, Lloyd Moelm and his grandparents, James & Irma Hartwell. Rev. Gene Moses will be officiating the memorial service. Edna Mae Shores, age 91, of Pevely, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  She was born March 4, 1921 in Horine, Missouri the daughter of the late Jessie (nee Merrell) and Andrew Edward Burris.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Lester Shores, a son Charles Shores, sisters Mille McCoy and the late husband Sam, Genoa Jackson and the late husband Howard, Clementine Cook and the late husband Leo, brothers Arnett Burris and the late wife Carrie, Arthur Burris and the late wife Margaret, Samuel Burris and Elmer Burris and the late wife Corine, daughter-in-law Janet Shores and son-in-law Sherman Kinder. She is survived by sons Andrew Shores, Ronell Shores, Dennis Shores and Richard Shores and wife Ethel, daughters Jean McGuire and husband Anthony, Leslie Shores, Jessie Casey and husband Lindell, Audrey Kinder and Annette Shores, a daughter-in-law Jewell Shores, 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member and consecrated Deaconess of the Buren Chapel A.M.E. Church in Herculaneum, Missouri and was a retired ceramics instructor at the Teamsters #688 Health Camp in Pevely. Dennis Dubart McHawes, age 66, of Herculaneum, Missouri passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at his residence.  He was born July 20, 1945 in Herculaneum, the son of the late Martha Pauline (nee Williams) and Stanley Harold Mc Hawes. He is survived by his wife Sheila (nee Ellis) McHawes, sons Dennis T. McHawes and wife Gayla of Festus, Missouri and Donald H. McHawes of Herculaneum, sisters Ruth Carron and husband Mark of Festus and Dorothy P. Dolph and husband Allen of Festus, grandchildren Dennis T. McHawes II, Dae McHawes, Madison McHawes and Marli McHawes. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother James McHawes. He was a 1963 graduate of Herculaneum High School, a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran, a forklift operator for 41 years at Jefferson County Lumber Co. in Imperial, Missouri, the 2005 Missouri State Champion Horseshoe Pitcher, longtime member and former president of the Dunklin R-5 School Board and a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fanatic. Lester "Les" Joseph Norton, 83, of DeSoto, entered into rest at Fountainbleau Nursing Center on Monday, June 25, 2012. Born September 19, 1928 in Union, Mississippi; he was the son of the late Lewis J. and Lavada (Gainey) Norton. Mr. Norton was a car salesman for Neal Chevrolet and Parker Banks Motor. He served in the US Army during Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 253 in Festus, the VFW Post #3777 and Eagles Club of Festus. He loved Cardinal Baseball. He is survived by his son, David M. (Misty) Norton and one granddaughter, Darian Norton of DeSoto. Rev. James Owens will be officiating the funeral service. Vernon Franklin Allen, age 90, of  Pevely, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri.  He was born July 28, 1921 in Silva, Missouri the son of the late Martha (nee Roden) and James Murphy Allen. He is survived by his wife Irene (nee Tiederman) Allen, daughters Willma Rabenau and husband Gary of Kansas City, Kansas and Barbara Allen of Pevely, a son Paul Allen and wife Karen of Silva, a sister Helen Fears, grandchildren Michelle Rabenau, Kelly Madigan and husband Rick, Michael Allen and wife Kiesha, Deann Goforth and husband Daniel and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Herbert and Paul Allen and a brother-in-law Tommy Fears. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Silva and a retired machinist from Panjuris Manufacturing in St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Chester Roy Boyer, age 87 of Herculaneum, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Scenic View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum.  He was born November 18, 1924 in Herculaneum the son of the late Nora Mary (nee Hayes) and Alonzo Boyer.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, William H. Boyer, Jesse B. Boyer, Harold Boyer, Donald Eugene Boyer, Arthur Boyer and late wife Elaine and Clarence Boyer who died in infancy, sisters Jeanette LaFloure and late husband Robert and Lois May Skaggs and late husband Truman. He is survived by sister-in-laws Jane Boyer, Gerry Boyer, Joy Boyer, Mary Boyer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army and a retired brake operator for a vending machine manufacturer. Donnell Lee “Don” Almany, age 80, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum, Missouri.  He was born November 16, 1931 in University City, Missouri, the son of the late Mary Jane (nee Tully) and Robert Samuel Almany. He is survived by his wife Stella (nee Dunker) Almany, sons Tom Almany of Festus, David Almany and wife Lisa of St. Louis, Missouri, Bill Almany and wife Karen of Festus, Jim Almany and wife Tammie of Festus and Tim Almany and wife Julie of Festus, grandchildren Chelsea Christian and husband Jason, Andrew and wife Amanda Almany, Joe, Shana, Caitlin, Tyler, Caleb, Nathan, Bria, Zach, Haley, Ryan and Austin Almany. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings Robert Joe Almany and his late wife Arless, Olive Potter and her late husband Stuart and an infant sister. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, Missouri and the Knights of Columbus council #1230.  He was a life long farmer and retired pipe fitter from Union Electric, local #148 operating engineers, and member of the Missouri Farm Bureau. Harry Willard Wiggins, Age:  94 of Hillsboro, MO, passed away June 29, 2012 at his Residence in Hillsboro, MO. He was a Baggage Handler for Terminal Railroad, St. Louis, MO; loved working outdoors and practiced carpentry as a hobby. Born May 1, 1918 in Dent County, Missouri, he was the Son of the late Ralph Wiggins and Mary (nee Case) Dennison Wiggins. He is survived by his Wife, Addie (nee Craig) Wiggins, of Hillsboro, MO; his Children: Edmund Wiggins, St. Petersburg, FL, Carolyn (Mark) Hazen, Florissant, MO, Kathryn “Kitty” Weirich, Columbia, MO; Half Brothers & Sisters: (preceded in death by half brothers; Paul & Herbert Dennison and half sister,Gladys Van Meter); Grandchildren: Gary, Scott, and Andrew Hazen; Katie Smith, Rachel Weirich, and James Weirich: Great Grandchildren: Lauren Hazen. He attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, De Soto, MO; member of Mt. Hermon Methodist Church, Salem, MO. Melvin V. McClure, age 86, of Festus, MO entered into rest on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Baisch Nursing Center in DeSoto. Born on October 22, 1925, in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Andrew and Lillie (Atkinson) McClure. He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Nedra (Martin) McClure, son: Stanley McClure of Colorado Springs, CO, daughters: Kathy (John) Swafford of Festus, MO, Christina (Gary) Wells of Cleveland, TX and Karen (Fred) Schmitt of San Antonio, TX, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded  in death by his brothers: Floyd McClure and Harlan McClure, sisters: Elva McClure, Irene McClure, and Lillian Cooper and half sister: Esther McClure. He was a retired quality inspector for Ford Motor Company. He was a United States Navy veteran who served his country during World War II. He was a member of DeSoto Church of Christ. He and his wife were "greeters" at the Festus Walmart. He enjoyed working on small engines, fishing and St Louis Cardinal baseball.
